Al's Hamburger

Absolutely loved the atmosphere, it was like walking into a time machine. Places like Al’s are hard to find. Service was fantastic. Tater tots were perfect! I had high expectations for the burger and it didn’t disappoint. They know what they’re good at and they stick to it. Will definitely be back! I like a great burger but I hate when it’s just simply grease dripping. Good flavor doesn’t need to be running down my arm. I recommend Al’s for that reason. Delicious flavor. And their crinkle cut fries are wonderful.

Spur of the moment we decided to go to Al's for lunch. We secured the last seats in the place (at the bar). After we were seated we noticed all the cameras that were set up and we were asked to sign a release form in case we were 'accidently' shown on the MAN vs FOOD show with Casey Webb. They were interviewing someone in a booth and when the people left we assumed the interview was over. Wrong- They came to ask me and my son if we would consider being part of the filming. We would and did! We were given BIG BURGERS to eat. If you have never eaten at Al's you are missing something special. These are some of the best burgers in the area and the place is legendary in downtown Green Bay. A diner that has survived all the many changes that has taken place downtown over the years. It is a bit like stepping back in time. I had a burger with sausage and peppers on-the Tailgate special and it was delicious. Their fries are fantastic, too....and they had you soda in a can. A fun place to visit!

This place is delicious! It’s a hole in the whole. It was walkable from our hotel. They have tasty hamburgers, out-of-this-world cheese curds, and oh-so-sweet milkshake. We love it so much we went back the next day with our family. It’s a must visit if your in Green Bay.

We found this little place with a Google search for Burgers. The burger choices were diverse, and they were so flavorful! The fries were also excellent. Service was great as well. If you are looking for a regular or unique burger that pleases your taste buds, this is your place. Five stars!
