    Argus has to be one of my longstanding favorite Madison bars. First of all, the fries are ridiculously good (get garlic parmesan or "sexy"). I'd go for the fries alone. I dream about those fries. Anyway. The beer list is awesome, the cocktails are good, and the atmosphere is fun, friendly, and casual. Downstairs has pool and a jukebox!

    Got the olive burger and sexy fries. Food was really good and top notch service. I definitely be back.

    My team goes here a lot for lunches. The staff is super nice and the food is good. Prices are also good.

    For bars in Madison, if you don't want 19 year old college students or a super upscale place, this is perfect. The real neighborhood bar. I've never had a complaint.

    Reserved the basement for my wife’s birthday party and got A+ service. The different areas for billiards, darts, and seating were complimented by the attentive bartender. Our own food being allowed for the event was a plus.
