Monty's Blue Plate Diner

I meet a friend here for some afternoon treats and was not disappointed. While my friend had a salad before I arrived, I went straight for the dessert menu and the coffee toffee sundae was divine. That was a lot bigger than expected, so when my donut came with my sundae I was realizing my eyes were bigger than my stomach. I devoured the sundae quickly and my friend enjoyed her vegan brownie sundae as well. The donut came home with me in a doggie bag and I had that for dessert after dinner. I look forward to returning to Monty's many more times. The outside seating was clean and the serve was very patient and tentative to us.

The best pancakes in Madison (me and my fiance are obsessed with pancakes). Also great buttermilk biscuits. We had great efficient service. We were seated right away (went in the afternoon). Clean. Good price. 5 stars all the way. Cant wait to go back.

I went here in the morning and was pleasantly surprised by the meals we had. The potato zucchini pancakes were amazing... They came with cranberry applesauce and sour cream. They were as big as the plate! Their homemade biscuits were amazing and in really happy they had the morning star sausage as an option, I love those.

Great place for groups with vegetarians. The portions are big, we always have leftovers. Really laid back vibe with good service. You may want dessert first.

Love coming here! My server was Chris I think and he was so friendly! Food was amazing. I had the BLT (There’s a different name for it) and my date had the cheeseburger. We also had a root beer float to share since they are huge. Big portions here. Also they have a vegan menu for those with that lifestyle. Fast service. Family feel of things. I come here every time I stop in Madison !!
