Smoked Brisket, Smoked Pork and Smoked Chicken, plus the Best Cornbread and Collard Greens in Madison.
Breakfast: made to order eggs and epic Biscuits and Gravy!
Tacos and TexMex is sneaky good too.
I could eat there everyday!
Best bbq I've had in Madison. I had the 'Bama Brisket Plate named after Barack Obama with some amazing collard greens and a huge chunk of cornbread. Also sampled the raspberry peach and strawberry rhubarb pies, both of which had a really dope crust. Both were delicious, but the raspberry peach was the best.
Delicious, Smokey, juicy brisket, honey imbued cornbread, and vinegar slaw (they were sold out of collard greens). What’s not to love? I will definitely be back to try the rest of their offerings
Staff is so friendly and warm. Cozy little restaurant atmosphere, which I loved. I had breakfast and the Johnny cakes were amazing! Red potatoes were perfectly seasoned and my eggs were cooked perfectly as well. Definitely recommend!
I got the brisket plate with corn bread and fingerling potatoes. I expected more meat and the brisket was tender but not melt in your mouth. Both sides were decent.
The real shinning star was their pickle sampler. They had a spicy mustard and onion, a sweet cinnamon, and a scorpion pepper pickle. I enjoyed all of them and will be back for the pickles alone. I asked if they sold them in jars and they said they plan to in the future.
I will come back for more of their food but for now Beef Butter is still my go to for BBQ in Madison.
