Osteria Papavero

Had an amazing dinner at Osteria Papavero. Their wine list is extensive and their fancy italian menu reminded of meals I had in the more touristy parts of Tuscany or Rome (a compliment).

This is a more expensive restaurant so I would definitely save it for a special occasion. It is worth the wait!

Very cozy atmosphere, and very friendly service. The food was fairly priced and delicious. Would have loved some butter to go with the bread, but I'm sure they would have brought some if I asked. It was a great experience, and I plan on returning again.

My husband and I had amazing anniversary dinner here. Best authentic Italian in Madison. No reservations, so early or late dining is advised.

Overall this place was fantastic. Delicious appetizers, absolutely delicious entree, and wonderful dessert and french pressed coffee. The atmosphere was nice and cozy. My only complaint is the wait between the appetizers and entree. It was about a 25-30 minute wait. That being said,, everything was delicious and I would definitely recommend this place.

Loved the place. The server was nice. The bread was amazing! All the food was great, but my gnocchi had very different texture that I didn't really care for. I make my own, so I get picky on gnocchi. My friend's pasta was just too salty. Everything else was great. Risotto was nicely done. The appetizers were very yummy as well. The place was perfect for having great conversation with greet food since it had just right amount of noise. Definitely quill come back.
