“First time I have visited the East Side Club on Lake Monona and it was very nice. Our family had a private luncheon party here post funeral for a relative and the food and bar service was excellent. The Club has a vintage feel to it and based off the many pictures in the entrance foyer of past presidents it goes back to the 1930's when this was called "the East Side Business Mans Club" and was a fairly exclusive Club back in the day. The views of Lake Monona were great and as this was in the winter there was many activities to watch such as ice fishing and kite boarding happening to watch. The tiki bar was not open during this time, but several attendees of our party stated it was a busy place during summer months which probably saved the business. Conveniently located in Monona nearby many other businesses, I would like to visit again during the summer months on my next visit to Madison.”

“My wife and I have been here twice. The first time was just for a drink. I tried a flight of their beers and each one was enjoyable. The Roly Soli and the Crucial Z’s were my favorite of the three. In addition to the beers they have a nice cocktail menu. The second time we went, we tried several of the food items. Our group ordered the wings, the poutine fries, the curds, and nachos. All of which were full of great flavor. For dinner I had the Nashville Hot chicken club. It was delicious, but not as spicy as I thought. We had a chance to speak with the owner Gaston, who was attentive and professional. After speaking to him we learned he’s been in the food business for close to 15 years and to be a part of a business like this has been a dream of his. We highly recommend you check it out and give it a try. We will definitely be going back, especially for the brunch.”

“We ordered the spicy and sour sliced potatoes and pickled cabbage fish soup. Both are awesome. In addition, we have tried similar sliced potatoes at different places, like California or Minnesota. This one here is the best one among all. A must try for those who like potatoes 🥔”

“Fun little chill place just off of Fish Hatchery. I went there on a random night and it was pretty chill. Our food order came out super fast and it was delicious. Nothing like fried food and beer, knowwhatiamsaying? People are fun and relaxed here. Good atmosphere. And they have a sizable menu.”

“I like visiting restaurants with all 5 star reviews. They are usually pretty new. Diamond Cafe is just a few months old. It is an interesting mix of breakfast items and southeast Asian. We had both and it was all good. 5 star reviews are for real. Definitely check it out.”

“I ate here with my family after I had tried out some food. I knew they would like it. The food was fresh and very tasty. We loved the food so much that we recommended it to a group of friends and we had ordered a large amount for a gathering we were hosting. Everyone was pleased with their food. Everyone has their favorites. I’m a shrimp fried rice kinda person. Love it , it’s so fresh. You get a nice amount of shrimp in it. Also a favorite of mine. The Curry Prawn. Just love it. The vegetables and curry. I can go on and on. But all in all I will be going back. One of my favorite restaurant.”

“Good food and solid birria, although it’s watered down sometimes. Yucca fries are CRISPY as hell, extremely tasty. The sweet potato and corn burrito was really tasty and I’ve ordered so much from this place so far.”

“I don't want to discourage anyone to try this place. It's a neat, fresh take on a family-style restaurant. It's only been open two weeks, and shows promise... However, there is a great deal of growth needed. There is one truly resplendent dish on offer, and it is the potato and rutabaga latkes on the starter menu. As to the rest, well... The house-cured trout was sold out, so no fish Benedict pour moi. Instead, I had the green giant sandwich, a flavorless marinated tofu and cucumber concoction with green goddess dressing, served without a side or any garnish. My partner had a mildly undercooked veggie hash of beet, potato, rutabaga and sweet potato with lovely poached eggs. There were a couple neat looking cocktails on the menu, but we both chose poorly. My spritzer was not good, but the coffee was delicious. We noticed that every other table in the place had excellent, polite service. Our waitress was clearly having a very bad day, was forgetful, and just short of rude. Staff shakes itself out with time, and I am confident this restaurant will hit its' stride... But the drinks need to be just so, and $13 is rather a lot for a tiny sandwich without a side or flavor to speak of. The concept is neat, though, and I trust there will be improvement.”

“This was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time! Whoever cooked this fish deserves a standing ovation. So good. I might be back tomorrow and work my way through the rest of the menu. Welcome to the neighborhood!”

“Food at Ginza was fabulous. The hibachi steak and shrimp was perfect, and the more traditional fare was equally delicious. Tea rooms are fairly authentic and a fun change from traditional American seating. Small differences from other hibachi/sushi restaurants I've been to (no complimentary salad or post-meal tea with a combo), but nothing I would hold against them!”

“My boyfriend and I stopped in to try it out and it was amazing!!! You can tell all of the ingredients are super fresh. The maple pecan granola on the top of my bowl was especially delicious! We got the peanut butter and jelly smoothie made as a bowl and the green team smoothie. Thanks for an awesome treat and we will be back soon!”

“By far one off the best place I’ve had Jamaican food in Madison coming from someone who drives to Milwaukee just to get authentic Jamaican food. The flavors are definitely their. As for the photos I’ve see on google reviews you can’t get jerk chicken with white rice and not tell them to put gravy on the rice...Hello they give you what you asked for. Wish I had took a video or photo of my food but was to hungry and wasn’t thinking about doing a review till after I goggle.Do I find the menu to be a little pricey yes but that’s just me comparing what I paid for my food and the amount of protein to rice ratio I receive.Would recommend they work on that. Yes I’ll definitely go back I’m from the Caribbean and I appreciate the fact that i can get a decent home cooked meal that I didn’t prepare myself.”
