“The scene is average, but that's not why you'll go. A great place on the west side for whisky, whiskey, bourbon, scotch, rye, whatever floats your boat. The selection turns over at a reasonable pace. Some staples are always there, some cool discoveries won't be there next time. “I seriously mean it when I say that the people who work here are some of the nicest people on the planet. The wait can be a bit long if they are short staffed, but it never bothers me. The food is fine, but it is made so much better when the people serving it are so incredibly kind. Ive never had a bad experience here, ever. “Amber Indian Cuisine is on my way home for work, so it serves as a fast and easy stop for take out food. Using Madison based Eat Street app, I have stopped many times. The food is always fresh, hot, professionally packaged, and my pick up is fast and uncomplicated. The main is delicious, and and everything I have ordered has been a culinary pleasure to enjoy in my home. Tonight, I made an impromptu stop for take out. I met with the owner, who also serves as host, and who took my order. He asked me about my day, which was actually a hard day. He suggested I enjoy a glass of wine while I wait, and served complimentary sauces and bread. My food was ready in 15 minutes, and was delivered with a smile. The dinners I ordered were clearly prepared with care and were simply a delight. Dishes are served with airy and perfectly finished rice and fresh naan. I have not tried the buffet, but imagine it would be quite the spread.”

“They have many interesting things on the menu that I have not seen. I ordered the Pineapple Chicken and it was delicious. Not your run of the mill Chinese super sweet type, but much better and original. We also ordered the Jellyfish which was like a cold salad with a tasty dressing and a nice cilantro finish. On the "I can't believe we ordered this" was the Pork Bung. I would pass on it in the future but my dining partner liked it. The Pork Spring Rolls didn't have much flavor, but the interesting, vinegary sauce helped. I would go back because there were so many different things on the menu! Service was okay.”
