“Visited as guests when participated in a Door County Trolley Tour. We did have a very limited menu prior to arriving so staff could accommodate a large crowd efficiently. We ordered a pulled pork topped with cole-slaw sandwich with side of steak fries which we thought was very tasty. The restaurant does not serve regular cocktails but serves saki cocktails along with wines & craft brews. Nice decor & clean. Getting a bit rundown in ladies room though. We would eat here again & are interested in their regular extensive menu.”

“I’ve only been in Sturgeon Bay Wisconsin for 7 days and this by far is the best place to eat for both breakfast and lunch. The staff is welcoming and friendly and so is the atmosphere! The service is fast and the food is great and filling! I highly recommend stopping by for either breakfast or lunch. 2 major keys to remember are that one, they’re only open till 2pm and they only accept cash!! No credit cards!”

“Quaint and cozy stop for breakfast and lunch. We were passing through the area and decided to stop here for breakfast. We were not disappointed! The atmosphere feels like a close aunt or grandmother’s cottage. Super cozy and airy. Everything was made fresh to order. Bread is baked in-house; we had raisin and white bread (which was sourdough—YUM). All the locals came in and knew one another which was nice to see. Would definitely be back in the future. John wants to see what rhubarb desserts they have available when we return in the fall! ;)”

“Its adequate food but definitely not the best in town. The view is decent enough but the food is just so so. Also I feel overpriced even for a tourist area.”

“We stopped in on a Monday afternoon expecting it to be a bit slower but we had great service. We tried a few local beers that the bartender suggested, all great picks. Ordered the fried cheese curds and the Siren burger and they did not disappoint! We enjoyed looking through all the patches on the wall and finding our hometowns. Great experience!”

“When you ask anyone in Sturgeon Bay for a good place to eat with outdoor seating and a view, they will tell you Sonny's. We loved it there. It was a nice day and watching the boats was such a joy. The pizza and Italian food was all tasty and came quickly. I would recommend this.”

“Stopped for lunch. Nice, inviting interior. Hostess was very pleasant. They have indoor and outdoor seating. My wife & I sat inside. It is loud, the sound bounces off the hard surfaces. If you’re looking for a quiet, conversational get-a-way, there may be better options. Good menu. Food was tasty. Service a bit spotty. Could have been a bit more attentive. It took us 45 minutes in & out, which was fine. We weren’t in a hurry. I’d go back again.”

“The place wasn't very busy; and service was quick. After asking if they used lake perch (much better than ocean perch), we both decided to order a perch sandwich. Wow, they were really good. Served with hand cut fries. Even the pickle was great. If we hadn't gotten so full, we would have gotten something from the nice selection of bakery goods. It's a little out of the way, a couple of blocks east of the downtown area. Find your way there, it's worth it.”

“This is by far one of the best coffee shops in Door County. The drinks are delicious and they have themed drinks frequently. Staff are friendly and usually have great recommendations. Top it off, they are easy to find and near a lot of attractions.”

“What a hidden gem! This place is going to be a local favorite soon. Prices were way too low for how terrific the food was. The Beer Cheese Soup had chunks of bacon and popcorn! And the German potato salad was the best I’ve ever had. Fried Cod fish fry had the most delicious breading, generous portions we couldn’t finish. New menu, so we’ll be back very soon to try it all.”

“I can't miss stopping here if we are driving through Sturgeon Bay. They're known for their Bloody Mary's, but really anything you order here won't disappoint. Have been here numerous times and the macs are stellar, buffalo sauce is superb, burgers, cheese curds, and tots are all solid choices. For a good local drink in the summer the DC cherry mojito is perfectly refreshing. Perfect outdoor patio where you can see the bridge and park.”

THE FOOD IS ALL HOMEMADE AND DELICIOUS! If I lived here I would come here every day but I don’t so now I’m sad. Also try the cherry mimosa. now need to nap but come here and eat everything especially the French toast and the green n gold omelette. Okay bye.”

“My parents have lived in Door County for 13 years. We have tried every restaurant around. And this was the best breakfast we have ever had here. The hash browns were amazing. I loved my country skillet smothered in sausage gravy. I would give it 5 stars but it was pretty pricy for breakfast food. Although it's pretty on point for food in a tourist town. Service was fantastic too.”

“Since we were staying in the hotel, we thought we might as well grab dinner after checking in. We brought our dog with us, and thankfully they allow pets in the outdoor patio around back. However, our waitress was not attentive enough nor did she explain the salad bar and menu to our satisfaction (though she did say she was pretty new). We shared the Chicken Drummies appetizer and the pecan Whitefish, both of which were bland and lacking flavor in our opinion. The salad bar was small but taste fine, but we were never asked if we wanted refills on our drinks and we waited quite a while for our waitress to attend to us after our meal was served. We would likely not return to eat here again.”

“The rooms were a little dated, but clean and comfortable. When we arrived, there was a sign a the registration desk directing us to the bar to check in. For the first time ever, we ordered a beer before checking in. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that the first one was on the house as guests. We had a good time talking beer with the bartender. We came down for a light dinner and a couple more beers. The appetizers we had were very good. Breakfast was mostly pastries, cereal, bagels, etc. There wasn't any protein to be found, but a pleasant surprise was the amount of fresh fruit available.”
