“The love and peace of the Blessed Mother's presence can be felt throughout the grounds and in the buildings. It is really beautiful and the staff couldn't be kinder or more thoughtful. We called ahead since our mom can't walk very far, and they were waiting for us so that they could bring her up the hill in their golf cart. We can't wait to go back.”

“Cool and chill place to have some drinks. The bartender was very personable and gave us other suggestions as out of towners for other places to go and explore. So many types of beer it was crazy! Food was fresh and tasty also. Definitely would go back”

“So, funny story.. It was this last January I ordered a sandwich after cleaning up my apartment. The delivery driver came with said sandwich. My dog wanted to investigate the "intruder" so I had to quickly step outside to sign for it. Low and behold I had then locked myself out of the apartment standing on my front stoop in a shirt, t-shirt, and no shoes in -12 degree weather! After realizing my mistake I quickly flagged down the driver and he offered to take me up to the hospital where my wife was working to get keys. Talk about excellent service! Sorry it took me a while to write a review, was a little embarrassing at the time haha”

“This is one classic / great place to stop in a hurry, or looking for an inexpensive meal. Their dogs are excellent, and the fries are always made as you order them. They can be the best fries money can buy, if they don't pull them too early (or the heat is set right, etc) and they end up a little undercooked. They have other options, but sticking to the chili dog / dry combos has been our forte.”

“Went in this morning to pick up sandwiches with several special little requests. The manager, Luke, took care of me and was extremely friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service skills, I was very impressed. Keep up the amazing work!”

“I carried out, got the shrimp mei fun and teriyaki chicken. The chicken was tough and despite the color the flavor wasn’t good. It was okay, but I’m in town for one week and I will be trying other things and won’t be ordering again.”

“Always have fun at this bar. With the wristband offer, it's hard to turn it down! The music is new and popular, with various throwback songs, plenty of room to dance, nice bouncers and bartenders... Just a lot of fun if the college bar scene is your thing!”

“This was my first time eating here and it was excellent! My one critique would be to get a double as the meat patties are not that big! I am definitely coming here again!”

“Great food! I have been here a few times and have never had a complaint. The wings are huge, the jambalaya is great, and overall service is good. This was the first restaurant I stopped at when I came to La Crosse. We told the server this and he went on and on answering all of our questions. Great staff! I would highly recommend this place to anyone and I will be back soon!”

“Went for lunch, to our surprise they offer gluten free buns which is hard to find at most places. It can make it difficult to find a good place to eat. Our table had a Hawaiian burger, Cheesecurd burger and Chicken Tenders. Everyone was stuffed when we left! Try the ranch it is sooo good!!”

“Nothing like spending a summer night eating fantastic pizza out on a patio. This was my first time here and I am impressed. The pizza has a crust that straddles that fine line between chewy and crunchy. The sausage is subtly spiced and the sauce is an ideal balance of sweet and tangy. Combined with a generous amount of cheese, this pizza approaches the archetype for perfection! And to top it all off, the service was stellar. My server was friendly and attentive. Next time I'm here I'll have to leave room for dessert.”

“Great pizza for a great price. New York style with tons of toppings. The crust is freshly made and the cheese is cheesy. Quick lunch when you grab a slice and they reheat it for you. They have a deal for 2 slices and a drink. They offer local beer too.”

“If you're reading this review: DO NOT go into dim sum expecting fast food. Its not. "Dim Sum" is just a term for Chinese tea snacks. Everything is hand made. All bubble teas are assembled to order. As well as a "secret recipe" spicy noodle soup bowl. Staff is always kind & friendly. They also carry a massive wall of loose leaf teas from all over the world. This is a place to sit down & relax for a bit.”

“It's good, sometimes. Kinda sketchy lookin workers when owner isn't there so usually avoid it those times. After the guy with no teeth told us it was 8 bucks for a hot beef sandwich but couldn't provide a menu to prove prices went up my friends and I decided a more established location better served our late night cravings.”

“(dramatic voice) In a world where there's a bar or three on every street... There's a place you can go where the burgers are literally amazing and the beer flows quickly from the tap to your cup. That place is called The Crow. Come here and experience a bourbon flight. Be fancy. OR... do what I did and drink Spotted Cow until you can't see straight. Either way you win.”

“It's a neighborhood bar that you can walk in and know at least one person. I love going in for a cold beer and a habenaro Weiner. The bartenders are good, you usually go in for one and stay for more!”

“Cool place to just hang and people watch. The out side covered patio was a great place to relax after walking all over downtown. The the spring and fall would still be comfortable as they have heaters as well. Food and service was good. I wish they were a bit more dog friendly though as many people had dogs there that had to be left on the outside of the gate. Strange being that most of the hotels in the area allow dogs in the hotel.”

“Love this place! Food was great & the portions are HUGE! The atmosphere was very unique & reminded us of an old school ma & pa restaurant. The twist on many of their menu items, tying in the Breakfast Club is so much fun! Such a great place for young & old. We stopped here on our way out of town while staying in the area. We look forward to returning again & again!”

“This is a great place to go if you would like a unique pizza experience. The prices are a little higher but that’s kind of expected for a good quality place that offers a unique item. The atmosphere is amazing. If you want cheap pizza with lots of options go to pizza doctors. If you want great quality pizza in an elegant yet charming environment go to Kate’s Pizza Amore. Edited from earlier review: I accidentally hit 1 star and was not able to go back and edit at that time so I am glad that the owner responded and so positively I might add when they thought this was intended to be a negative review. This also brought the mistake I made to my attention when it popped up in my email. So thanks for that! Just one more reason responding to reviews is important for business owners to do! ????”

“Where does one start? The food was absolutely delicious-- highly recommend the Snow Crab and Artichoke Dip appetizer if you're hungry. The atmosphere was classy and cozy; and the waitress (Sanya) was super fun, personable, and a dear. Portions were great for the money. Overall, wonderful evening and will be back for another.”

“Sushi Pirate has excellent service, excellent food and also a wide variety of food. I was never a sushi person but my girlfriend has me try the Flying Dutchman roll, since it was cooked. Boy did I love that. I've had sushi about once or twice a month, and this is the only place in town I'll eat it from. The fried rice is also super good, and I liked the soft shell crab. The inside is very nice and very clean, all the tables are washed properly and they don't leave food specs on the floor. I highly recommend Sushi Pirate to anyone who is looking to try/enjoys sushi.”

“Jack was our server, we came in for a late lunch. He was fabulous. This was a great stop. We had a delicious light lunch of the dock lunch and yummy smoked deviled eggs. Food was great and service was better.”
