“The food is always fresh, and the wait staff has always been friendly and prompt with me. The manager, Pascal, always greets me with a smile when our paths cross. It is obvious he has a passion for what he does. Now, is it the BEST Italian food in Milwaukee? Of course not. It's a cheap, fast-food type atmosphere, but the beauty of Fazoli's is that it doesn't try to be anything more. That said, the food is prepared fresh daily, it gets to you fast, and it's inexpensive at that. You can do a lot worse than this Fazoli's location. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for quick, no frills Italian fare.”

“I have been coming to this restaurant for over 10 years and it has become a tradition for my mother's birthday. The owner, Antonio, always makes us feel at home. His staff is courteous and efficient. Every drink or meal is made with love and perfection. You'll never leave here unsatisfied. Lively entertainment and family atmosphere. You can bring your entire family from 9 to 90 and everyone will enjoy themselves. Great landmark in Milwaukee and I pray they're around for 100 more.”

“It's a small Restaurant, but I have a lifetime love of Mexican food, my mother, maternal grandmother, and my aunts and uncles on my mother's side of the family all cooked Mexican food, that's my experience with the cuisine. Al Pastor restaurant is very similar to my Aunt's style of, not very spicy, but with mild spices and flavors. The amount of food was more than ample. My wife had the Chili Rellano dinner, 2 large pablano peppers stuffed with cheese, served with rice and beans. She had enough for 2 meals, the peppers were well prepared, tender with only a few remains seeds inside, the peppers were filled with cheese dipped and battered and fried. She loved them. I had the Chicken Fajitas. I found the chicken strips to be tender and peppers onions to be tender and tasty. We also ordered the guacamole and chips. Again tasty. We will be back. Next time I' LL remember to take pictures. They brought 3 salsas to the table when we sat down, a mild red, a medium green and a hot red, all 3 good.”

“This place is great! Just hearing the name I expected a really busy cafe. Arriving to find a home-style, cozy atmosphere took me by surprise and made me instantly comfortable. Our waitress was friendly and gave us recommendations on what to order. The menu is southern comfort food, and The Farmer's Wife delivers that perfect flavor experience. The shrimp and grits taste just like what you'd find in Louisiana. Their house desert is a blueberry cheesecake that is to die for. All of the food is made fresh, and you can taste that difference. This is a place to return to!”

“I've been enjoying a Cousins Club Sub on Italian for almost 35 years. There's a reason I keep going back. Not only is the service top-notch, but I don't know a better Sub for my tastes anywhere. They have wonderful soups and salads too. And they've always had a grill at the ready, as well as a toaster added over 15 years ago. The newest additions are shakes and floats! Yummmm! Best Vanilla shake around. I haven't tried the others yet, but as the creature of habit that I am, don't hold your breath. Why not venture in yourself and indulge in a chocolate shake or a float with your delicious Sub, salad and some chips. A true Milwaukee classic, the newly renovated buildings now showcase their proud heritage. Well done, Cousins.”

I met the owner, who is a really cool guy and went to every length to make sure we were happy and well-accommodated. The restaurant was comfortable and spacious, and we were comfortable throughout the evening. The highlight was the flan we ordered for dessert, which was exquisite. It was just the right consistency. Its caramelization reached just the right balance of toasty sweetness, and I’m still thinking about it now, even two days later. I’ll go back again just for that, and for the excellent pork enchiladas they served me. It was a memorable evening. Don’t miss the Antigua Latin Inspired Kitchen – it’s highly recommended!”

“Old school and most likely a West Allis classic. Went in for a Friday fish fry. Quick service, nice waitress. Clam chowder left a little something to be desired - seemed canned. Ordered the full catch, which was cod, shrimp, and perch. The fish was pretty good, although I prefer a tempura batter. The coleslaw was tasty and the fries were crispy. Not the best or fanciest fish fry I've ever eaten, but it got the job done.”
