I had the Shrimp Scampi with Angel Hair paste -- very nicely prepared. Granddaughter had baked pasta -- what an impressive dish. If you get a gyro and fries, you definitely will be full. The gyros are packed full of meat and kind of remind me of Oakland Gyros. I've gone here twice now and will continue coming here. “As a Japanese American(polish father, Japanese mother), I’ve had a lot of sushi in Milwaukee in my 52 yrs born and raised here. Screaming Tuna North is excellent and Chef Morimoto is a sushi savant. I’ve always enjoyed the Walker’s point area ST but the parking can be a bit challenging. This location has much easier parking and IMHO the best sushi chef in the state. Some of his creative rolls are absolutely works of art. Highly recommended.”

“I’ve been to Beans and Barley in Mequon 3 times since they opened, including the opening weekend. The food was very good, freshly prepared and served promptly. That was a real accomplishment because they were very successful on their opening weekend and were out of several of their menu items. I sat at the counter and listened as they apologized to people ordering but that they had far more guests than they anticipated. I know that was true as there was literally no parking left when I arrived. I felt bad as I have some food allergies that required some special instructions and they were professional, observant and helpful. Which was better than most restaurants who have not just survived their opening. I was very pleased with my visits and am very excited that they are a fixture in the neighborhood.”

I had grilled red grouper and my friend had fried Alaskan halibut. Both were also very good. The staff at the bar where friendly and gave great service.
