“Saw these guys on our online news and wanted to try them out. We were in the Phillips area on vacation last week and stopped for breakfast. Shared the Getter Upper bowl and it was THE BEST! “My husband and I love Red Beard Bistro! The food is great and good quality with a lot of variety and custom options. We enjoy trying the burger specials and have really enjoyed the homemade soups. There are a lot of appetizers for everyone’s taste. During this pandemic, we usually get food to go, which isn’t too long of a wait, but the seating offers a nice atmosphere. She has great ice cream, which we usually take to go or eat for a treat while we wait. The owner is very nice and we’ve always had excellent service. You won’t regret stopping in at Red Beard for a nice meal or sweet treat!”

“Convenient and cozy place to stop for sandwiches, salads, or soups on the way into the Northwoods. The bathrooms are clean, well-stocked and welcoming, not a small consideration on a road trip. I had a chicken salad croissant sandwich and was pleasantly surprised by the flaky and buttery pastry that even a Parisian would recognize as a proper croissant. The chicken salad was moist and flavorful, if a bit plain. My companions are unable to eat gluten and found only one item on the menu: vegetable soup. They had no complaints about the soup, but it wasn't enough of a meal.”

“I went to free airshow, breakfast buffet was so so but a good price for what you get. The airshow was great entertainment especially for it being free. You can tell the owner is trying really hard to provide something to the community that isn't otherwise available. Was a great way to spend a couple hours on a beautiful day. I'm not around often enough to try other food or see the night life but family and friends have commented that it is good.”

She'll do part, or all, of the catering for an event. I have worked with her several times for different occasions. She listens and offers great suggestions. “A gem in the the town of Prentice Wisconsin. It was nice to find a place with a great food selection and a warm and friendly atmosphere. This is definitely a Northern Wisconsin place to stop, when you're in the area. Great dinner specials. They have their own Grill and smoker in the back. The rib special on the night that I was there was terrific ... also came with the salad bar. One of my friends enjoyed their cheeseburger with lots of fries. Drinks are reasonably priced. There are a few slot machines available for play. The walls are decorated as you would expect, in a Northwoods cabin style. There is plenty of parking outside on either side of the entrance. Very friendly staff and friendly customers. When I'm in the area this is going to be my go-to place.”

“This was the coolest food truck I've been to in a long time. An enormous menu and everything looked so great. The food was super fresh and made to order, the people were really friendly. The crunch desserts they offer are incredible, almost like a big crunchy cereal. Everything we ordered was fantastic and for such a little location in the parking lot of a gas station, this turned into one of the highlights of our trip”

“Decent meal and friendly staff. A good typical diner serving what you'd expect. Plus they have pies! I did not have one, but i am told they are best. So i am passing that along to you, the reader. Had the country fried steak and biscuit, and it was delicious. Typical machine hot chocolate. Decent coffee. Would return for sure. Nice small town atmosphere.”
