“Don't be fooled by the outside of this place. It looks like a typical lakeside bar/restaurant but it's actually a very fancy supper club. Our experience was wonderful. There's a cute little bar with delicious cocktails you'd find in New Orleans. The matriarch of the family was tending bar and was very friendly. White tablecloths and servers dressed in black uniforms. Very elegant. This is a place where dinner is served in courses. It takes a good hour and a half to eat your meal. It is pricey but totally worth it. I had the scallop special of the night and it was one of the best meals I've ever had. Everything I ate was delicious. Our server was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is beautiful. For a special dinner this is the place to go.”

“We went with friends who recommended going Wednesday because they have a 2 for 1 menu which has variety of items. We were seated immediately and welcomed by waitress. Noticed they were playing background music which was nice. The group had roast pork w/ dressing, grouper and fried shrimp. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The meals were prepared well and our waitress was attentive, coming to our table regularly. We will go back again.”

“This is an excellent restaurant! The chef is very friendly and stopped by our table twice to see how our meals were. The relish tray was full of crackers, homemade breads and liver pate that was out of this world! The pan fried walleye was the best walleye I’ve ever had. They also serve homemade ice cream. We shared the key lime pie flavor and it did not disappoint. The owner and chef takes great pride in this gem of a restaurant and it surely shows! Would definitely go back in a heartbeat... a wonderful experience!”

“Seating options was a definite plus, even though we chose to sit inside, the porch would have been an equally good choice. The hostess seated us and when our waitress was taking a little long to bring water and menus, she stepped up. Great teamwork! The food was cooked just right. One improvement would be organic free range eggs, just a better quality, not that the eggs were bad. Coffee and water refills were timed well. I would go to this restraunt again. “We went to Lanny's for the first time a few weeks ago. It's the favorite for the friend who brought us there. I had stuffed walleye, and it was absolutely delicious and rivaled that of any fine dining I've had. It came with soup and salad, making it a fine value. And I know everyone else was happy with their meals. The atmosphere is warm. The prices are very favorable. The service was extremely slow, but we didn't choose Lanny's because we were in a hurry. We waited in the bar for our table to be ready and enjoyed the pleasant bartender and nice drinks. The staff was absolutely courteous and professional throughout. The only reason I didn't rate this 5 stars is that this would mean there's no room for improvement. While the wait for the table despite a reservation and the long wait for our food didn't bother us (it is part of the charm), that may bother a lot of other people. We will look forward to going back.”

“Happened to stop at the Burnt Bridge Cavern on my way home to eat. The food was actually pretty good, I haven't tasted cheese curds that delicious in a very long time. The mugs they served the drinks in were also pretty unique. Sitting at the bar, the lady was very social and always stopping to see if you needed anything. On top of that, you had a view of nature out the window. The Tavern's decor was also pretty neat ^-^. There were dollar bills on the ceiling, plus a bunch of other neat decors. The bathroom for ladies also had a really unique sliding door stall, which I found rather cool! Hope this review helps some of y'all, try the cheese curds!”
