“If you read no more than ‘eat here and order the BLT’, that’s enough. You will not be disappointed! If you want details, read on… First of all, Tip-Ups is in the parking lot of WinMan, which is super cool. Being on a mountain biking roadtrip, and after a few hours of riding, I was really hungry and excited to eat right there in the parking lot. I ordered their perfect BLT, with added avocado, and a watermelon salad. The salad was so good! The flavors were balanced and fresh… what a great energizing dish to eat after riding. Secondly, and most importantly, was the AMAZING BLT. I almost never order them because I am disappointed, but I gave this one a try and I will forever be grateful that I did. The bread was lightly buttered and toasted on both sides! That in itself was amazing. The avocado was smeared onto the bread with a little bit of seasoning with no big chunks to annoyingly fall out. The bacon was perfectly cooked. The lettuce was shredded. There was just enough tomato. The entire sandwich melted in my mouth, and the only sad part is that I had to share it with someone. It was indeed, perfect! Put all that on top of the delightful owners serving their food to me, and this food truck reminded me that great food can be found anywhere… and when you find great food, you should go back for more!”

“5 out of 5 My wife and I got to talk to some of the employees working the tiki bar, all were very friendly. We also got to talk with Steve as we were leaving and told him how awesome of a place he has. Though we wouldn’t have know about this place until we boated in from the river and saw the big pirate ship that drew us in. From the road you can’t tell how awesome it is until you walk in. Food and drinks are great. O and the ice cream can’t forget that!!!”

“My wife and I stopped in the other day. On the door it said wear a mask so we stopped and put our masks on, went in sat down and they said thanks you can take your masks off. We had chicken wings, fried green beans and got gas for the sleds. Was a great experience for us. Thank you.”

“Been going to the North Woods for decades and never bothered to come to Little Bo. I figured it was a tourist trap, but I was so wrong. One of the best meals in awhile. “Cute gift, coffee, and icecream shop. Had a lot of great local items for sale, and a garden center as well. We stopped in to get a couple of coffees and some ice cream, and ended up sitting outside on the patio. Lots of beautiful flowers. There was also inside seating too. “We had a wonderful time bowling! We went on a Sunday night and we didn’t have any trouble reserving a lane. The employees were super attentive and friendly. Their pizza and Eagle chips were super delicious and very affordable. They also have a bar area where we played darts and had even more fun. “Our best friends brought us here when visiting this past weekend and we loved this place. We ordered appetizers consisting of the cheese curds and cod cakes and found them both to be delicious. Our server was both attentive and knowledgeable about the entire menu. We appreciated the wood fire they had going outside and the additional fireplace indoors. My old fashion was heavy poured and mixed well. We'll definitely return our next time up.”

My husband and I loved the food so much we were tempted to lick the plate! While dining we spent time looking at the ceiling that was full of rare taxidermy and antiques. And if that wasn't enough to entertain us, the owner made sure we were comfortable and shared many stories of where she came from and how she landed in the Wisconsin Northwoods. Although Hornwinkel's has only been open a few months and just getting established, they could become the next iconic Northwoods must-visit restaurant for locals and tourists!”

“Food is always good at Eagle Waters. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Prices are reasonable too. The kitchen is slow though. We got there at 6:30 and didn’t leave until 8:40 because it took 1.15 hrs to get our food. They could offer better house wine too. If you are in the area I would definitely stop for dinner and drinks by the fire. Hopefully the kitchen will be faster for u. Service is always good too.”

“We needed to book a room for our son's hockey tournament weekend. Unfortunately for all of us there was a lot of people in town that weekend with the derby which made finding a room a struggle. I was unfamiliar with the area so when I saw Chanticleer was 2 minutes away from the arena and had decent reviews I booked it. Expedia lied to me and led me to believe I had booked 2 king beds when we only had one and the staff member I spoke to the morning of check in hooked us up with a cot, and accommodated a couple other requests, so my teenager didn't have to share a bed with his parents lol. They were super helpful, extremely friendly and wonderfully entertaining during our stay and our visit to the bar our first night. I would 100% come back and visit this crew if we visit Eagle River again. The room was tidy and a perfect crash pad for the weekend we had, I can imagine with the view of the water it's probably a great spot in the summer, and though I can't speak of the winter activities as we were in the ice arena all weekend it seemed to connect to a bunch of snowmobile trails. Thanks guys! We had a blast with y'all! Hope to visit again!”
