“I used to love coming here for lunch. I love the fact that you can select 2 additional side salads to include in your meal for an additional cost. I'm a huge fan of pasta salads and they do not disappoint in the selection (which rotates daily). Lately however, every time I eat here I get a stomach ache shortly after. Because of this, I won't be returning. My friend also has the same issue with this place.”

“I'm a huge foodie and eat at tons of restaurants all over the world and Flame Food + Design is my new favourite restaurant in Toronto. Discovered it last week and I've already been twice. I NEVER do that. The cuts of meat are insanely good. Also, ask for a tour of upstairs...it's pretty cool. Just a fair warning: if you haven't travelled a lot, you might think the service is slow. They're straight from Turkey and it's definitely Turkish Culture service. What do I mean by that? In North America, we rush to get through our meal so that we can go out after dinner. Outside of North America (and in Turkey), the meal is your experience for the night. It's your entertainment. This means they won't rush you here. They allow you to take your time and enjoy everything. If you need something, they expect you to call them over and they will assist you. So knowing this, the service was awesome, and super warm. Me and my friend stayed 40 minutes past closing just enjoying our time there and they were happy to keep serving us, and then they even gave us a tour of the upstairs afterwards. I highly recommend!”

“Wonderful little coffee shop that makes superb brewed coffee. It is refreshing to enjoy the full rich taste of properly brewed coffee, not just dripped from a filter into a pot. Both the decaf and regular coffees have the same rich taste. The decaf did not lose any of its flavour from the extraction of caffeine. “A decent place for tea the serving staff were very nice and friendly. We also really enjoyed the scones but for high tea there was a lot more sweets then savory definitely not a meal but really great if that's what you are looking for. However, there was a lady at the other table who kept sending things back because they didn't fit with her dietary restrictions. Quite unfortunate as it sounded like they called ahead to disclose them. These conversations were all very loud in a tiny restaurant and you could here the chef yelling WHAT and getting annoyed. Sort.of awkward for other guests and also probably made that lady feel very uncomfortable. I felt really bad for the servers as you could tell they were trying to be nice but the chef was being very rude. I totally understand that it can be frustrating to deal with guest that have many needs but it's not something that should be dealt with unprofessionally. Very unpleasant for a "high tea" experience when you hear other guests having a bad time.”

“This location is cozy. Seems to be under staffed some customers were waiting almost an hour. Drive thru was also pretty backed up. But was moving faster then the ones inside. Noticed most the workers were just standing around starring at the order screens. One going around patting the other employees on the back. Also was very unorganized. (Focus more on the drivers and hardly any inside.) Other than tonight's experience this location is usually on top of their game. Everyone has bad days. When finally served I ended with a thank you and a smile. Point is. Be kind be patient and the food will come ???? 3 star rating because they really need more employees and employees really need to get their game together.”

“French toast tasted like bacon (husband is a vegetarian). It wasn't eggy, it was basically just toast. Can't get real maple syrup or upgrade to it, only had table syrup.
