“I had a "Chef's choice combo sushi", which was wonderful. Besides food, the ambiance and service of restaurant was awesome. I would go again to try other Asian dishes from the menu. I highly recommend this restaurant.”

“De la super bonne bouffe. Une salle à manger plus conviviale rendrait l'expérience excellente, néanmoins Resto Malewa reste la place de choix pour sortir le ventre satisfait et bien rempli pour un prix raisonnable.”

“Sampled 9 of there 10 beers on tap and I'd categorize all of them as introductory style beers. For those just starting to drink different styles of beer, this is a great place to start as none of the flavor profiles are overly strong and will not offend the sensitive palate. Very good starting point, as many of the better styles have been softened and the flavor intensity scaled down in taste. The tap room is located in a mall plaza and has a very commercial look and feel. If your in the immediate area is stop by but not worth making a special trip from downtown Quebec City.”

“I miss the location and folksiness of the old market at the train station. This modern building is nicely designed, nicely lit and pretty, but it lacks some character. There seem to be fewer merchants. The former market was more intimate, and the narrow aisles made it feel like more bustle. The new place, in a large parking lot near a stadium requires a bus trip or driving (yuck). Probably more convenient for the vendors, but less so for those visiting from the city center. There were fewer places to get food for eating there, too. I hope it gets busier in the future.”

“Visited as part of a bus tour (they gave a lunch special). We discovered the price isn't much better than just walking in and is very limited selection. I had the Italian Salad, it was very tasty and the portion was just right for a light lunch. Staff were friendly and very helpful. I wish the prices were a little more on point with what you get. Still, an enjoyable lunch.”

“This place is a jewel. Visit it on the afternoon and grab a sausage sandwich. Finish it in style with an order of carrot cake or apple pie. Everything is so terribly delicious! The ambiance of this place is soothing and welcoming. By far the best little cafe in Quebec city.”

“Waiter was outstanding. We were thrilled to be accommodated on New year's Eve last minute as a group of 5. Everything about the food was amazing and we were left very impressed. The location was perfect and beautiful. Highly recommend this spot!”

“The ribs here were incredible, as was the poutine. They have a somewhat more formal feeling, though it's definitely still a family friendly location. The kitchen was a little slow, but the taste and quality made up for the wait. The staff was very friendly and attentive.”

“Atmosphere was very entertaining - it was a great fine dining experience (we were seated at the bar table). The service was exceptional and the cocktails simply amazing - you’ve got to order it! We did the chef’s tasting menu and it was very good however we weren’t blown away by the food... The food quality was great and we loved the flavors but in comparison to other great places in town, it just didn’t hit the spot that we were hoping for.”

“Their menu is 98% gluten free which is amazing since I have celiacs diseases and did not have to worry of getting contaminated and sick. The service was very slow but the waitress was alone and that was not her fault. She did the best she could and was very nice and courteous. I had not had calamari in so long and I have to say they tasted delicious. It was so good that my bestfriend and I asked for a second appetizer of calamari since the portion was pretty small. However they had no more left and I was so disappointed because I am from Montreal and I rarely have the chance to eat this. This just gave me more room for desert. The food was amazing which compensated for the very long wait.”

“Very good pizza! Never had scallops on pizza before, and they certainly did it right! Our waitress was very kind, and went out of her way to chat with us about some local places nearby. The beer selection was very nice as well, we tried some good local brews. The atmosphere was cozy, and it's in a really nice location!”

“We favoured a warm drink, ordered different coffees and hot chocolate. We have had better coffees. The chocolate drinks were warm, not hot. Waiter not very friendly. Prices relatively high.”

“Would absolutely recommend! We went there in the morning for their brunch and we tried the "discovery menu" ($36 per person) which consists of 4 services. A-MA-ZING! I recommend it if it's your first time there, because we get to try a few different things. They ONLY use local products (except for alcohol and coffee); if it doesn't grow in Québec (I guess they extend it to Canada), you won't find it on your table or in your plate. AND the food is exquisite.”

“This is a once in a lifetime restaurant experience and we’ve been fortunate to eat here twice in 3 months. You should do this. Take a loan on the house if you need to do so but do it. You will not regret it. The food is phenomenal and it changes every few months. The staff are extremely friendly and the interior is designed so well. We do the non alcoholic pairing because my wife is allergic to alcohol but I would recommend it even don’t have issues with alcohol. They get so creative with it. Love this place.”

“The restaurant is located at the heart of Quebec City, and it's one the cheapest in the area. The food was delicious, we took the chicken meal. I liked the idea they have a limited menu, it makes the restaurant very authentic. The design inside was very great, simple and not exaggerated and the owner was nice and friendly. The only reason I didn't give a five is that I thought the portion of rice and salad they give was less than enough and the soups were a bit overpriced. Overall, I definitely recommend it.”

“The menu is simple but fun interesting diversity. It was quiet and service was fast and polite”

“Really nice hotel! The room as a lot of character. Love it! Little cons tho; the sink is outside the bathroom.. Is kinda cool looking actually, but no counter space at all. But the breakfast is to die for. And the location is perfect for shopping or go out and eat, so many restaurants/pubs around, it's hard to make your mind on where to go, which is not a bad thing at all. Overall really great experience!”
