“We had the best time at Porch this weekend. We sat outside on the “porch” and it was a lovely evening. They have something for everyone, but our favorite was the Oku with a fried egg and bacon lardons. We enjoyed a couple cocktails to start, the spicy pear margarita was delicious with a kick! Then moved on to some Ireland farm shishito peppers and squash carpaccio! Rounded out our entrees with the Truffle Farro Bowl and the Catfish Sandwich. We truly loved it all and can’t wait to go back to try more! We are so excited to have Porch in the neighborhood!”

“Asked for recommendations from the kind young lady at the window. Got steak torta (left) and 3 tacos (right, 1 each steak, pork and steak/chorizo combo). Tried each of the 3 salsas, and loved them all. Standard red salsa was bright and spicy, Verde was nice and tangy, and the bright green (I think it was guacamole salsa) was a little creamier and more subtle. I ate it all, with a lot of salsa. It was excellent ? Would definitely recommend pork or Chorizo, not because the steak was lacking, but because the marinated pork was so good and Chorizo is a personal favorite. $17 for all in the picture. “This is the kind of restaurant you pay for the talent in the cooking. The food quality was A+, the service was a B, the young lady only came at the end of the meal to see if anything else was needed. The food was slow to come out but you can’t blame the wait staff for that. The atmosphere was A, the music was jazz played low but audible, the lighting low but not dark, it was spotless as far as I could tell. The noise level was low from the crowd, it was easy to hear conversation. I had the New Orleans shrimp and grits, fantastic! A bit spicy but I knew that before I ordered it, 3 “cakes” of grits that were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside, the shrimp…well there were 9 of them, I counted. For $20 I expected a few more shrimp. The salad was great, mixed greens, if it had the iceberg type lettuce I did not see it. Also at the table was an order of crab cakes, very very good! For 3 people, 3 entrees, one appetizer and no booze the bill was $99 and change. My 76 year old mom did not finish her dinner, I did not quite finish mine but my buddy, a big guy, finished his all the way. I will definitely go again.”

“I want to love it. We used to get this all the time living in Tennessee. Went here tonight and I felt like my hands were tied. The sweet lady who did the mix has some things that make it a little more difficult to complete orders. I asked for a waffle bowl - sold out. So I asked for a waffle Cone and they had that. Gave my order and she’s not able to do a true mix because of her limitations. Once “combined” I was given a cardboard bowl instead. I didn’t know what to say... and the card machines ask for tips and again didn’t know what to say... I feel like it was a lose lose situation and I wouldn’t feel that way had my order been correct and things mixed like you expect. I’m just torn.”

“Excellent NY Style pizza with a solid amount of flair. It will make your house smell like an Italian kitchen. They use fresh basil as garnish and it's amazing. The large sizes are big enough to satisfy most people with 1-2 slices, they're that big. The cheesy bread is also pretty solid. As a bonus, everyone was wearing masks correctly and there was sanitizer easily available, so you should feel reasonably safe ordering from here.”

“Ate at Taco Mama today on a recommendation from someone for a quick lunch. This was my first time at a Taco Mama. We were very impressed! My wife or rdeeed the cheesy beefy taco plate and I did the build your own quesadilla! My quesadilla was packed with the ingredients that I picked and stuffed with cheese! The chips were hot and fresh! The salsa was spot on! We got there wheel they opened and within 15 mins the place was packed. I can see why it was recommended! “I usually wait until I have tried a place a few times before I review, BUT the Shrimp Tacos that had just a few minutes ago were Great. I am not embellishing this at all, they are easily the second best shrimp Tacos I have ever had. I am not sure about anything else they serve, but it is worth the trip just for the shrimp tacos. I added jalapenos and poured just a little bit of the salsa they provide (for the chips) on the Tacos and WOW.. The other food they were cooking while I was there looked and smelled good. I will be back soon to try other stuff. I was eyeballing the hamburgers they were cooking, that is what I will try next. The cook time on the food was about 15 minutes, BUT they were packed and the food is cooked to order so you will get hot fresh food. There is a small bar to eat at, or outside seating that is limited. I ordered to and left to eat. ONE small set back, the parking is few and far between. I got there about 11:20 and there was not a spot to park, the other businesses around this place have bought up all the parking and you have to have a permit to park. When I try other items I will update!”
