“Clean, courteous, and an outstanding steakhouse. Storytellers Steakhouse food was so delicious. Three NY steaks and one filet. All were cooked to perfection, seasoned mildly to allow the natural flavor to be the focus. We had zucchini, yellow squash, and herb potatoes. It was the highlight of our one night stay. Staff everywhere were great. Breakfast in the buffet was very nice; open at 7am which is when we arrived for chafing dishes filled with just made eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and more. The teens enjoyed the arcade, but the bowling alley was reserved for leagues, but otherwise we would have bowled as well. Indoor pool and whirlpool. Casino machines were mostly penny slots so my husband was not as interested in poking for pennies. A few table games. No poker, tho. Were we to come back to the Camp Verde area I'd see them as a consistent, reliable property. Highly recommend the steakhouse.”

“My son's name is Maverik. So, every chance we get, we stop into on of these gas stations to look for merchandise with the Maverik logo. Up until now, we have not been able to find anything. We are looking for maybe a hat, beene, stickers, or anything so my son would have cool stuff with his name on it and spelled right. We stopped into this particular establishment during our roadtrip up north to Flagstaff. This particular gas station is of the beaten path a bit from Highway 17. But like I had mentioned, we try to stop at these gas stations to look for memorabilia. We went inside and asked if they had anything with the logo on it. The nice lady behind the counter kindly stated, "No". Not a surprise, only because we have been looking for some time now. But figured it was worth a try. Well, then she asked my to hold on for a moment. She walked into a back room and came out with a new employee name tag for my son. She was the sweetest thing. I apologize, but I did not get her name. If she remembers this encounter and happens to see this, I would like to make sure she knows how much he appreciated it. Thank you so much. If we ever get back that way, we will most definitely be giving this station our business.”

“As with any establishment these days, this place has suffered low staffing issues and the day we went there were only what appeared to be two employees working the drive-thru; one taking the order and one delivering. It was Sunday, it was busy and the woman delivering was definitely busting her butt and the guy that was taking orders was attempting to keep up. Even though it did take forever, the food was made correctly, it was good and hot by the time we got it. Camp Verde Sonic did their job to the best of their ability and we appreciated it.”

“Highly recommend. Easily the greatest meal I have ever had in my life, my boyfriends too! The steak and seafood Mac and cheese was incredible and so delicious. I loved the atmosphere and the intimate setting. We had a booth all the way in the corner of the restaurant and it was perfect! Our server, AJ, was fantastic. He was attentive, knowledgeable, courteous and kind. The chef came out and asked several customers if they were enjoying the food which I thought was fantastic! Definitely recommend making a reservation! Well worth every penny, we will be coming back here again :)”

I ordered the Coop Mac and Cheese (medium heat, pickles and sauce on the side) and the seasoning had very good flavor and the pickles just added that perfect little crunch (the hot sauce was too spicy for me). The Mac and cheese was very good as well, my daughter loved it also. My husband ordered the chicken and waffles (mild) and the flavor of that seasoning was very good as well, slightly sweet with that good heat. The waffles were fresh and delicious. All of the portions were so big and filling for the price. Great little place”

“Service was 5 star all the way. Atmosphere was 5 star all the way. BBQ sauce is homemade and 4 out of 5 stars. Taco salad was 5 stars. Hamburger and grilled cheese sandwich was a 5 star. The ribs was a let down for us. We got 4 ribs that were over cooked. They had a good smoke on them but I was unable to eat half of my ribs because the meat was so dry and over cooked. The pulled pork was also very dry. The brisket was good. It had great flavor, good smoke, and juicy. I am hoping that the ribs were overly dry because they were so thin. As for the pulled pork. Would I come back? Yes. But I would make sure to request a thicker and juicier cut of ribs. I gave this review a 3 star because when I go to a BBQ house, I expect to eat ribs that are well prepared.”

“Atmosphere was nice but menu was very overpriced and our meal was overcooked to the point of being burnt. Breading (fish) . Very disappointed. The meal ( lunch) for two adults and toddler came to 80$. Won't be returning for dining, might try the bar for cocktails sometime. Went back a second time, had the rib eye steak and a glass CB of wine. The steak was cooked to perfection and so we’re the vegetables. The salad was unique and the flavor was wonderful. Still felt they were over priced (with a tip my tab was over forty dollars) and they only had one bartender and one server for a Friday night but Overall it was a good experience. Changing my review from two stars to four”
