“We will be back! I normally hate green tomatillo-based salsa, but I think it might have even been better than the red salsa! Staff were relaxed, helpful, and fast. We had several people help us instead just a single waiter, and that kept our water glasses full and our chips topped off. We had nothing that wasn't fantastic. My steak burrito was as good as the staff promised it would be. My wife's beef tenderloin tamales were just as good. One kiddo tried bison for the first time and really liked its spiciness. My youngest ordered the chicken quesadilla, and it's smoked chicken made that the best quesadilla I've probably ever tasted. Prices are pretty high. A glass of In-House lemonade is $5. With chips and queso as an appetizer, our four meals, and a shared order of churros, the four of us paid about $110, including me much-deserved 20% tip.”

“It's a really nice hang out location. If drinks are going to be expensive, you want them to be delicious. The food AND drinks are worth every penny. I ordered the calamari and the oyster Rockefeller. I am not a real oyster lover.. so when my order came and the oysters were warm at the cheese but cool and the oyster bits, I was a little turned off. I took my left overs and warm them in the over ( in a water bath). They came out great. This is a true oyster bar... everything was fresh. The only pain in the neck is finding a parking spot. I would recommend this restaurant for date night, friends hanging out, or taking visitors to a local eatery.”

“Hill Station is a local gem in the Hillcrest area. Solid food, great drink selection and bar menu, and the patio/outdoor seating area is great for Spring and Summer evenings. The only reason I don’t give them 5 stars is because there is sections of their outdoor seating that look great but they’ve never had it open for seating, at least when I’ve been there. Sad to be able to see cool space but no seating due to either short staff or not enough business to keep that section open. Second, I love that Pets are allowed, but my last experience there I was seated next to a lady who’s dog would go crazy at any pedestrian or dog being walked nearby, as it sits next to a street and sidewalk. My recommendation would be to open up the second seating area or a specific section for people with Pets so other people don’t have to be around I’ll behaved pets. Those two things aside, you can’t go wrong at Hill Station and I will keep going there to support great local business!”
