“So happy this place showed up in San Leandro! I loved the Hayward location, this one does not disappoint. The McLovin sandwich is a perfect marriage of spice and savoriness with the Chipotle mayo, peppery sausage patty and gooey cheese (I got cheddar). My partner in crime enjoyed his medium roast coffee (no frills for him). He looks forward to trying the cold brew next. That fact that he wants to come again means Hippies Brew has won over my coffee connoisseur. I ordered the peppermint mocha, blended. My sweet tooth is dying so I requested 25% sweet and no mocha drizzle. I actually love that they put actual peppermint leaves in the drink! It added to the earthiness of it all and did not distract from the coffee flavor. My new favorite spot. Can't wait to bring others.”

“I've only eaten here once for dinner. Had the congee and won ton soup, and both were delicious. However, I've been here numerous times for dessert, and OMG so yummy!! They have a whole thick menu with pictures dedicated just for their desserts. It certainly did not disappoint. I ordered the fresh young coconut with fresh fruit gelatin/custard-like inside. ❤️”

“What an experience to be in a line that took 40 min to get through the entire process. Start of the line to paying and leaving. The Starbucks team was great. The drink we got tasted great. The line is long but I was pleased with the service. I'm not sure how they make sure to tell people who is the last customer they will take but I hope it isn't like the one off HWY 5 in Paterson.”

“Nice but small Starbucks. It has very limited seating here. Saw an ant on the counter. The workers were hardworking. One was sweeping, another taking orders and another making drinks. The area where u get sugar and milk needed to be wiped clean and there weren't any regular sugar packets. Overall, I would give this place 3.5 stars.”

I try to patronize this location as much as I can because it's close to me when I take my breaks but lately they have been doing a sloppy job. 1) my coffee sometimes doesn't have a stopper in it to prevent contamination or spillage, 2) I sometimes order my pastries warmed and it's always cold, 3) but that's also probably because the bag is not properly closed and sealed either... again a big contamination issue especially with COVID-19 floating around and the final issue as of late... 4) I found a piece of plastic in a sandwich I ordered and (5... I guess) when I called the store to complain no one answered the phone. Hopefully if I give them another chance (we're all human after all) I'll have a much more pleasant experience.”
