“I was so shockingly surprised at how delicious this food was. I went there not knowing what to expect but wanting so good fresh food. This was NOT disappointing. I got the Crispy Fish sandwich, a Dynamite Shrimp Bowl, and Fish and Chips. Everything was FRESH and served HOT. The food came out in a timely fashion. The staff were on point, and the manager came to the kiosk to help me place my order. I was grateful for his attentiveness. The store was very clean, and the restroom was very tidy as well. I will be returning.”

“I hadn’t been in awhile & was wishing there were a good pho place around, so decided to give Tigon a go, after a bit of time has passed. I am so glad I did! It surpassed my expectations in all areas. Delicious, artful, fresh, good size portions and value, and very friendly and attentive service. A bonus, for me, is getting to sit along San Pablo Avenue at a busy intersection and watch the world go by. Lots of seating options and traditional decorations —booths, window seats, large group tables. Thoughtful touches, such as spoon that has a small curve that hooks on the side of the pho bowl! I was hankering for meat, so ordered a build your own beef pho. And, Vietnamese rolls. Everything was so fresh! The menu includes many vegetarian options, too, which is sometimes what I hanker for! I am so happy they are here and seem to be doing well! The restaurant was fairly busy. Would be a great place to meet friends before or after a movie!”

“I ordered takeout from Sushi Matsu, and I can honestly say it exceeded my expectations. I tried the Lion King and Caterpillar rolls, both of which were large portions. The rolls were appetizing and flavorful, and it was very reasonably priced, especially for the size of the rolls. The service was also excellent. The owner was generous and friendly when I picked up my order. I definitely plan on coming back.”

“I'm so happy this little place opened up. It's so nice that that you can find something outside to the Oakland/Berkeley area. I came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. Parking was easy to find and we were seated right away. We got the mushroom and cucumber salad as our appetizer which as very tasty and fresh. The shrimp and pork dumplings were made on the spot and served hot and the last order of Beef noodle soup it is a bit spicy and will numb the inside of your mouth. Only thing I wish that they had more noodle items to choose from. It is a very simple menu, but hopefully it will grow to more items later on. I will be coming back for more!”

“I found this gem of a restaurant tucked away in a small plaza in El Cerrito. Zomsa serves a blend of Indian and Nepalese dishes that are a combination of traditional and fusion. All the staff that I could see seemed to be from Nepal. They were extremely pleasant and welcoming - big smiles all around. Nearly all the clientele also seemed to be from Nepal or thereabouts - a good sign that the food is authentic. I love Indian food, and found the dishes to be well cooked and spicy but not overly so. I also discovered new food, such as the delightful crispy bitter melon. Another dish contained baked buffalo pieces cooked to the point of jerky! Can't say I loved that but others seemed to enjoy it. This place has become a go-to destination for me, not just because of the food, but also because the atmosphere is so welcoming and the people are so friendly.”

“I stopped in with 25 minutes until my appointment which was right around the corner. They were very busy (great for a new business). The staff was friendly and worked quickly. However, I would suggest as they will get busier (due to the concept of their business - SLIDERS!!! in every form, with a variety of choices and flavors!) that they hire more front staff or an additional food runner. They are very good with hygiene and making sure the product is good and to order and this takes a touch of extra time for quality control and customer service - so I think it would benefit them to have more then one person doing it. I DID get my two sliders in time so though I was a tad anxious at the beginning - it worked out. But I did notice some people stop in - who were very interested, but saw the line and left. Too popular? NEVER! I just hope as this business gets embraced by the locals that they prepare for the busyness so they can stay on top of their customer service. ENOUGH SAID- Great new spot! Try it out!”
