“This is there soft opening hence first review. Most everything is in operation but a little rough around the edges. My experience was good, not great but I’m sure as time goes by, it can only get better. I had ordered a poke bowl as this place use to be a poke restaurant by same owner. I specifically made sure to ask that there were no chili’s or hot sauce. When I got my bowl, the entire underside of my fish was drenched in chili sauce and so was the rice. All I did was inform the server, she didn’t seem to know how to respond, maybe it was communication with the chef and I got a replacement bowl. We were also there to celebrate a birthday and ordered a lava cake which they had on the menu, but not in there kitchen yet. They ended up giving her a scoop of ice cream on the house which was very nice. The decor was nice and the food looked great. I recommend you give it a try and see for yourself. I will be going back”

“I am so happy I don’t have to drive 45 minutes anymore to eat here. I love cooking my own food. I really enjoy their miso soup. I only wish they had an decaffeinated unsweetened drink option besides water. But Their food is delicious and it has made me fat, thank you!”

“We ordered cheese Bhel and it was A-ma-zing! The cheese and Bhel were complementing each other so well. Loved it. Also tried the Masala pav with bhaji, normal pav bhaji, Gobi Manchurian and dahi Puri. They were really good too .”

“Dumplings. Yummy. The wait here is always crazy unless you slide in 30 minutes before closing. I usually get pork and chicken dumplings. The soupy dumplings are the best! I also suggest trying the shrimp fried brown rice. Delish! The staff is attentive and for the most part everything comes out pretty quick.”

“Best part about this place is freshly made Gujarati Food. The way god intended food to be eaten. Fresh and tasty. It gets busy but they try their best to sit you down soon. They have one of the best chikoo shake. Most challenging thing is to drive 1 hour back home after eating like an animal. Highly recommend .”

“BETWEEN THE REVIEWS w/ Rodney S Q)Where did you go for lunch, Rodney? A)I haven't had Indian food in a good while, Rodney, so I thought I'd hit up a new spot in Little India. New Flavor of India has been bookmarked by me, so I decided to check it off my list. Q)Did you order off the menu, or decide on the AYCE lunch buffet? A)Lunch buffet all the way! I usually go for lunch buffet whenever I dine out for India food. New Flavor of India's lunch buffet is a little pricier than other more established restaurants located in Little India at $11.99. Q)What did you think of the buffet, Rodney? A)I found New Flavor of India's lunch buffet limited in terms of selection. The usual suspects were represented - tandoori chicken, dal makhani, biryani, saag paneer, butter chicken etc. I mainly focused on the tender goat curry, which was really good. Q)Was there a good dessert spread? A)Yes, Rodney, the dessert options were nice. Mixed fruit, an Indian type of funnel cake and corn meal balls satiated my sweet tooth. The star, though, was the sweet gajar halwa. I know it's traditionally served warm, but I believe it would be quite nice chilled, especially considering the dog days of August we're currently in. Q)Final thoughts on New Flavor of India, Rodney? A)I had a perfectly good lunch at New Flavor of India. The price either should be lower or there should be more items available. The service was nice & the owner let me know he always listens to customer feedback, and changes things he deems necessary to. The highlights, for me, were the goat curry & gajar halwa. I look forward to coming back & trying the rest of the menu Recommend! NOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOMNOM”

“I had the buffet, the food is average. The non-veg appetizers taste similar to each other. The naan was actually really good”

“EXCEPTIONAL side dishes are definitely on point. Every single item of the banchan lineup hits the spot... And the whole experience felt more like going to a Michelin starred restaurant than a traditional soon tofu place. The main dish did not disappoint as well, but the real star was the banchan.”

“What doesn't know much about Indian foods, but went in one of the Indian Restaurant to try out the foods? WOW! It was an experience I had. The foods were so good and awesomely delicious. The place was packed with customers. Since it was the first time, I asked the waitress for opinions and suggestions. She was very friendly and helpful and especially was very patient with us. I have too many questions to ask and she makes sure we would enjoy it. We ended up to order the Podi Dosa which has onions, potatoes and green beans in it. Also the chicken with garlic and butter Annan bread, there were so good and yummy. The place was cleaned and organized. The servers were very respectable and helpful. We would definitely come back to try other dishes next time.”

“Pizza is perfect. Not too thin. Not too thick. Toppings are exceptional with onions, spicy marinara, and ranch as automatic sides, and beer prices are phenomenal for the area...my only regret is I didn’t come yesterday.”

“Delicious...try the Avocado Turkey sub. This small sub shop is a great place to stop just off the 91 freeway. Always fresh food. Love the bread. Friendly staff and clean. I always walk in and order but if you are in a hurry i recommend a phone call in because they make it fresh and some times there is a line and it is usually busy right at noon.”

“Nice little hole in the wall Thai restaurant. I walked in and was greeted warmly. I sat down and ordered. Had to get my go to pad kee mao to see how it compares to others. Overall it was good especially when you consider the price of 9. I could have done without the few pieces and lettuce and tomato slices. Overall I was pleased and will return.”
