If you have time and are okay for slow service then come in have some beers and you are good. If you have kids and know that there is such thing as a leisurely meal then best to go elsewhere. “I am the prodigal son of sushi, this place is so good, I grew up eating here with my family. It’s fresh, delicious with lots of options if you want to be adventurous or stick to the basics. I’ve tried a lot of sushi thinking, no way this family run spot in Montrose (of all places) has the best sushi, but low and behold it does! The staff is always friendly and the food is amazing at a more than reasonable price ????????????”

“It was nice to discover a restaurant with Spanish food. We ordered sangria (red and white), salad (fig and ham), shrimp, and steak. Both types of sangria very delicious. We enjoy the salad but nothing special in the flavor. Though it had digs and ham, we did not taste the ham as an added flavor to the salad. The shrimp dish had big pieces and the flavor very nice. We wish the shrimp was not overcooked: the combination of flavors very good but rubber texture. The steak was slightly overcook but very delicious. We would come back to try other dishes. Yet, I have to say is overpriced. I think people will order more of the prices would not be that level.”

“I really loved this place. The plates are really big and I think two people can totally eat out of one plate. The service was also very good. It was my first time going and they were very nice, patient and helpful. I went with four other people and we all shared food. I love Mediterranean food. I wish it was closer to where I live so I could go more often. Montrose is a great area, there is also lots of free parking which always makes the outing better. You have to try it!”

“I'm torn with this review. The staff was amazing, it's in a cute location, and a majority of the experience was amazing, but there were a few standout issues. I think it was just a fluke, but when you try a place for the first time, everything kinda counts. We were taken to a table where it looked like the previous parties leftovers were dumped right onto the floor. When the host tried sitting us at the next table, it seemed to have the same issue. The place isn't very big, but being marched to a table and having that happen, only to be marched back to the hostess stand kinda puts a damper on your date. Once seated, the servers did well. We ordered a large chef's choice sashimi place. While the presentation was well done, some of the selections seemed out of place. I don't know many western palates that thoroughly enjoy mackerel. All in all though, I would definately come back and try some of the other offerings.”

“Wonderful dining experience with my family. The patio seating is equipped with heaters, keeping the diners nice and toasty whether sitting indoors or not. There is no wifi and a cheeky sign suggests using the time to talk to one another as if in a time before social media. The wait staff were accommodating and prompt. Our waitress gave a great recommendation for wine, which we enjoyed with our meal. The intimate setting encourages family dining or a romantic meal for two. Will be coming back with my husband to try some more of their menu items.”

“The meal was outstanding!!! That's the *only* thing saving this New Moon at present from a poorer review. Party of 6 at 7pm on a Tuesday. Lots of mains ordered. Drinks were pretty quick to come out, as was food. Haven't had water in my glass or anyone check in on us for over 20 minutes. Three of us may have ordered a second beer or cocktail if anyone had checked in from time to time. Maybe it's our server's first day, or maybe he just doesn't care (I'm stopping short of posting a picture of him). Seemed friendly enough starting off, but then more or less vanished. There are other excellent staff members hustling, asking their tables how they're doing regularly, getting drinks and food out, clearing, etc. Overall, a terribly disappointing service experience, especially after we had heard such good things about New Moon. Again, all the food we ordered was **excellent**. Our server was definitely not.”
