“The Singapore Style Fried Vermicelli is excellent, spiced just right with variety of cha Siu, eggs, bean sprouts, shrimps, scallions. I couldn’t wait or stop to take photo of it! Bringing home an order of house special lamb brisket because the waitress highly recommend it. Staff is friendly and the surrounding is quiet since it is inside a small shopping mall with 50% occupancy. We will go back again. We didn’t like the lamb briskets because it’s really goat and it has bones in most pieces. The bones tend to be sharp and meat was bit tough for my taste. Recent update: went back three times for Singapore Fried Vermicelli, they were not as great as the first one. They were kind of average.”

“Stopped by to try this place since I had great experiences with the Higo Sushi in La Habra. The service was on point (kind and attentive) and everything looked fresh and clean inside. The shrimp on my Higo Roll was cooked excellently and the flavors and texture of the roll was great. The nacho dish was a generous portion of spicy tuna and avocado with wonton chips. I highly recommend that too. It's a little pricey, but you get the quality you pay for. Whatever you get, you gotta try the green sauce. It was fantastic. Looking forward to trying more dishes later. Tough break that they opened during quarantine, but I hope they do well.”

Overall everything was very good. Manager was lively and taking care of business. I got fish and shrimp tacos Baja style with side of rice and beans. Not bad. Will be back. ”

“So this restaurant is located in a large plaza that has plenty of free parking spaces . Decided to try this place out based on pictures , but once we got there they gave us a paper menu. Thought it was the appetizer menu , but when we asked for the regular menu. That’s when they told us they no longer serve any of the dishes . So we were a bit disappointed thinking we would be able to try other Korean food items . So since we were already seated , we ended up just ordering a few things that they offered. So if you are coming here for the fried chicken items, or the Korean grilled stuff they no longer offer that. So maybe it’s a change of management of some sort .”

“My husband and I were craving some authentic Taiwanese food and stumbled upon this place through DoorDash, after a little digging through Yelp we found nothing but positive reviews for this place and decided to give Umami Bistro a shot. Wow! The dishes we got were so delicious and you can taste how fresh the ingredient was. It tasted like something my mother-in-law would make for us whenever we visited them. “Was craving gyukatsu and found this gem. This is the only gyukatsu place in the area. Came here on a Sunday at 6pm and the restaurant was about 75% full, no wait. Items were very similar to authentic japaneze style gyukatsu: the miso soup, rice, cabbage slaw, ponzu and horseradish sauce. Taste was def not as good as the ones in japan, but for the price and availability, I’d say it’s quite worth it. Careful not to overcook the beef too much. The fire ocassionally goes out on the small grill, let them know and they’ll relight it. Also got the creamy curry udon. They also got the Japanese curry taste right with this dish. However the dish was too creamy for my taste. But def give it a try!”
