“We found this place on a whim while visiting Newport Beach. There were so many other locations to chose from, but this place looked so good we just had to stop by! Their menu has a good selection of food and drinks! We ordered the house fried rice and garlic noodles with fillet mignon. Not pictured here is there Vietnamese coffee. The food was delicious!!! It took awhile to come out, but when it did we were very impressed. The fillet mignon was suuuuper tender, juicy, and flavorful! The garlic noodles could use more garlic, but it was still good. The fried rice was a little salty to me, but my bf thought it was fine. I'd definitely order both again! The portion was pretty big. We both couldn't finish our food and had to take it home. The Vietnamese coffee wasn't that great. It tasted more syrup than coffee. I was disappointed because I was expecting the typical strong Viet coffee with condensed milk. The location is very convenient. The beach is right across from it! It's a smaller restaurant but when we went there were tables available and the line was not too long. There is a bathroom but you need a code which could be found on the top of your receipt! Overall, the food was delicious, good serving, and cheap! I'd other both again, but definitely not the drink!!!”

“What a wonderful place to eat! I had the Surfer Burrito, and my friend had the #3 scramble(omelette). Both were awesome! The great thing about Alta is they use simple high quality ingredients to create fantastic flavors (try the ham and cheese croissant with house made strawberry jelly!). Great atmosphere and people watching, as well as a pokestop. I started coming here when I was 8 with my Dad and it's mostly the same 30 years later. I definitely recommend this place for an excellent relaxing weekend brunch.”

“My daughter chose this restaurant for her 7th birthday. She really likes the meaty mac and cheese on the kids menu. I had the managers special, with meat sauce and mushroom sauce. I really like how even kids meals get proper salads here. Its difficult to get kids to eat veggies, but when salad is served as an early course they are much better about eating it. Including ice cream with every entree purchase is also something we are fond of. Decor in this restaurant is excellent. Trolley in the dining room, lots of dark woodwork. Feels like fancy dining, but prices are quite reasonable. Parking is valet parking only given the tight spacing of their lot. I'm not a big fan of this, but its really not so bad.”

“Everybody knows about & loves Laventina's pizza. It is a huge part of the community thread here & people from all over go there for the really good pizza & salads. The location is great right on the main thoroughfare street going thru Newport Beach's Balboa Peninsula. Their takeout & delivery is famous, fast & efficient. In the summertime it is non-stop pizza action for both the local residents & the beach goers that visit the area. Always fresh ingredients & consistently good quality. I am getting hungry just thinking about it now. The owner David is a great guy & always loves chatting up with the customers there, especially the great late night crowd that stops by there for the world famous Late night slices. Laventina's is a household name in the community & for those visiting.”

“It's a toss up..the food or the staff... I had come in for a Hero...hadn't been in there for a few months. They changed the complete menu last week (yikes). No more Hero ????. The fellow taking orders suggested that they could create a sandwich which resembled the Hero...bit they no longer carry Ham. I said go for it and they created this sandwich for me...it was awesome...instead of ham, added pulled pork.. Wow...the depth of flavors was great. Thanks to everyone @Sessions! ,????”

“I ordered my usual, Vegetarian Fried Rice at this Pick Up Stix to go. I also asked the gentleman to make sure they use a clean wok. There was no one else at the restaurant. However, it took him a good five plus minutes to share the order with the cook (I think the cook was somewhere in the back.) And another ten minutes for the preparation. I was just happy that they made fresh Veggie Fried Rice that I really enjoyed. The place is clean and comfortable! I will be stopping by at this restaurant in the future.”

The friendly servers are more than adequately getting things serve to you on a timely manner. Now for the reason why doesn't give 5 stars this place is very expensive we're talking $10 for a small salad and a medium drink minimum though the location kind of explains itself. Eat up!”

“We had a delicious lunch at Z Pizza! We are from out of town and were walking through the plaza trying to find a place to eat, and met the owner, Luis. What a genuinely friendly and generous man!! “It surprised me to see so many negative comment here. Indeed, they do have issue such as misplacing your order or giving you the wrong meal. I mean, this is a nationwide problem for all Panera. However, sometimes they really treated their customer right! I was given free meal today since they have a system issue processing gift cards. I did not bring my purse and the gift card is my only payment method. When I heard the news, I was about to leave. First, the cashier is super nice and chill. He tried to help me out and took the initiative to ask his manager(he said his manager was chill and would make the meal happen. And he is right). Then the manager took the case and finally decided to give me the meal for free! Actually, this is not the first time I was treated like that. I remember one time, at another location, the staff there upgraded my meal from half portion to full, of course, for free.”
