“This is an update since I have been eating at this place for years. The dishes are very authenticly southern Chinese varieties. If you love Cantonese noodles, this IS the place. My mom introduced me to this place in the late 1990s...This is my go-to Cantanose favorite place- they also have a couple of Nam Vang dishes (Cambodia noodles?). Oh I forgot to mention anither fav dish is 'Tsao kweh'-- so good.”

“Being Vietnamese and growing up in little Saigon it's nice to see more Viet businesses branch out to other parts of the OC. I never saw black Banh mi and have seen squid ink buns in asia, so thought I tried it. You don't taste anything different with the black buns but I loved that they toasted the Banh mi and the feelings were delicious and even the pickled veggies didn't smell too strong. Coffee was also thick and creamy and I loved it. They take card too. Only thing was waiting area was super warm from the Banh mi ovens.”

“Giana Bakery is the new (Italian) sister restaurant to Chef Danielle’s (French) Maison Cafe. Giana has all of the warmth of the Maison with a distinctly Italian aesthetic. It’s an environment that you will want to linger in, soaking up all of the warmth that Danielle’s restaurants are known for. As with the Maison, you can either sit and dine at Giana, or just pick up some fresh baked pastries and coffee and be on your way. The bakery itself is adjacent to the dining room, and you can watch the bakers work their magic on the delectable breads and treats that are displayed at the counter. Giana is a wonderful addition to Dana Point’s lantern neighborhood and is sure to become a regular dining spot for locals! Congrats to Chef Danielle and her team!”

“Best dark roast coffee ever!!! Their coffee is now my gold standard. I love this place! The food is delicious, service is friendly and fast, and the relaxed outdoor ambience overlooking the marina makes it one of my area favorites for an early morning breakfast. (The photo is power pancakes made with rye flour and seeds. Hearty!)”

“Amazing customer service. Cool vibe. Good bowls. I want to try their coffee tomorrow. I had their employee favorites #1. The almond butter was a fantastic addition. My daughter had the pataya bowl and it was too sweet for me but that is just how pataya is. The wave art on the wall was fascinating and their stickers are cool. I like that they offer water in reusable flasks.”

“Grab your favorite bagel from the varieties they have, the cranberries bagel was so tasty and fresh, made from scratch as you can see in the picture, scrambled eggs with buttered toast tasted nice and fresh, the eggs tasted like real eggs not like most restaurants, cookies and cream frappe was so good, highly recommended to try it”

“Black Market always has yummy breads and treats. The tomato and cheese croissant was good and the chocolate chip cookie was very tasty and not over baked. Their sandwiches all look good however it appears the hot mess we ordered was poorly made. The bread seemed too squished almost like somebody left it under the press for too long. Bread was crumbling apart. Still had a good taste.”

“If you want an amazing experience, come to Krave Nutrition! I come in a few times a week for a protein shake and absolutely love the people who work here. The drinks are also delicious! The staff here are the sweetest people ever if the drinks arent sweet enough for you. However, they are low in sugar and have a great nutrients with reasonable prices. You really can’t ask for anything else. I would probably come in more often if they were open later. I love crave nutrition! You should check it out(:”

“Le parfait paris desserts are both pretty and delicious, plus they have fun seasonal choices. Their macarons are humongous, pistachio is my favorite. Go early cause at the end of the day, they do sell out!”

“Was a local who frequented Laura's a few times a week. The chicken salad on croissant was awesome but not gonna lie, I stopped in many times for the lemon bars and other sweet treats. Usually grab a sandwich cause Laura made me feel guilty that I only came for the sugar...lol I just read it's under new ownership so the nostalgia part is still there if they didn't change things around. It was a great place, a diamond in the Ruff back then. Hope it stays that way.”

“Hubz and I live right across the street from here, so we’re driving past this place every day, sometimes 2 times a day. With the giant O staring at us, I’m reluctant to tell you how many times we’ve accidentally wandered over here in the midst of walking our dog. Yes, this donut shop might look like any other donut shop, but it’s not. The service is super friendly, and the donuts are a good deal! It’s about $8 dollars for half a dozen. My go-to is a box of the original glazed donut, both decadent and airy. I totally recommend it!”

“I ordered a cold brew with sugar free hazelnut syrup and the avocado breakfast sandwich. Both were delicious. I stayed here for like 4 hours to study and it was fairly busy throughout my stay for a Wednesday morning. They have wifi and plenty of electrical plugs along the bench seating. There's also a lot of parking.”

“This little gem is a marriage between 7 Leaves and Crema Bakery (Seal Beach, CA). The food is delectable, almost whimsical. I like the petite salad that paired alongside my "eggs benedict". The poached egg was spot on, the bacon crumbles were perfectly crisp without being burnt, and the mini croissant was light. The hollandaise was creamy and luxurious. I would say the chocolate croissant was a tad dry, but the waffle with vanilla cream I could easily eat every day. I tried both the jasmine tea and the Thai tea. Both were superb.”

“Interesting texture to the donuts. Would eat them again. But def not on the reg. They have the most interesting drink machine ever, though. Clear plastic bottle, with a soda can top! This lemonade comes with ice in it sealed. Blew my mind.”

“Service and food is great their breakfast burritos are awesome! Only reason I’m giving a 3 star instead of 5 is due to their poor online/phone takeout ordering system. Tried calling and their phone was disconnected. I ordered online and the food wasn’t ready when I arrived. It took a whole hour to get my food from when I ordered it. And when I did get it. They labeled it wrong. I would suggest ordering at the shop. It’s quicker and more efficient.”

“The best croissants I’ve ever had in the states. Rich and buttery, and the chocolate is dark but not bitter on the chocolate ones. The many flavors offered are less “traditional” but they are all done with quality, and artistry. The ham and cheese is Gruyere and so rich. I went there so often just to get breakfast, but they do have other bakery goods as well.”

“The store is small, but the breads are displayed in a showcase, giving it a clean impression. However, there are few types of cakes. It's a good place to buy bread for everyday rather than special occasions.”

“This local bakery has some of the best pastries, sandwiches. We enjoy going several times a week just to pick up something fresh. Be sure to a backup selection of what you want, items sell out fast and there is usually a line to get in during the morning. The staff is helpful and still smile even though they are busy.”

“Very good consistency. The taste is different, for me it is a combination of glutinous rice and flour. Which makes it unique than the other regular donut. Need to warm up in microwave next day maybe about 8 mins.so it will taste newly bake. Must try this one they have different flavors.”

“It Is always a great day when you go to Haute Cakes. The atmosphere is like being on vacation. The staff is welcoming, kind and efficient. But...the food is amazing!! Today, I had the chicken salad with figs. One of the best, most decadent salads I have ever had! There is no better place for breakfast or lunch than Haute Cakes.”
