“I absolutely love El Torino. Did you know that this is where the table side guacamole started? Yep, @ the Long Beach location one of the waiters made a small group of people the guacamole because the chef inside was taking too long. When those people came back they said they wanted their guac me table side and the owner said we don't do that. The customers quickly assure the owner that they do and the rest is history. The soup at El Torito is absolutely awesome, I like their fajitas and their tacos my wife absolutely craves their Caesar salad. The dressing is possibly the best Caesar salad dressing on the planet.”

“Amazing place! If you want good Thai food this is the place to go in this part of town. Food was delicious and customer service was top notch. The papaya and spicy beef salad was excellent but the crown jewel was the pumpkin curry which was the first for me. Gotta go here if you have the chance.”

“Stopped by after a good gym workout since I was craving a burger and remembered they offer lettuce wrapper burgers. I ordered two teriyaki char's with cheese and an order of sweet potato fries. The burgers were assembled neatly, lettuce was crisp and overall good, but it had way too much mayo. Which I'll ask for no mayo next time since it took away from the teriyaki flavor. The fries were good and well done, but the portion is kind of small considering the price. I am docking off a star because of the wait time. I wasn't expecting to wait 20 minutes for a drive thru order. The dining room didn't appear to be busy there was only one car in front of me. I'll return and update my review if the wait is shorter next time. Otherwise, be ready to wait a bit.”

“I gotta say this store is well organized, they have enough space to move around and have a separate table for mobile and pick-up. Employees are all wearing masks and making sure that you are safe. Kudos to management.”

“Second time trying this place and it's becoming one of my favorite fast food places. The food is great and I love that I can choose the spice level. If you get Dave's #2 you can choose different spice levels for each which works out great if you plan to share with your kids or simply if you want to try different spice levels. Another big plus is that the spiciness is actually spicy, I am used to eating spicy food and usually when I go to restaurants their spicy food is not really spicy in my opion but Dave's Hot Chicken definitely delivers. Definitely recommend anyone that wants good food to give this place a try.”

“Love the Alambre. Its really worth the $10 and I recommend it. The plate has peppers, cheese, and plenty of meat. You can portion the tortillas out and still have lots of meat!”

“After being there for a Sunday brunch, we wanted to come back for dinner, and we were glad we did. Good service and good food. Small selection but well done. The soups were delicious. Side dishes are tasty. The dry aged rib eye is good. We sat at the bar, and got a good view of actions in the kitchen. For brunch, definitely recommend outdoor seating for the lovely view of Soco fountain.”

“Ichirin makes better bentos than the lot of other bentos found in the local Japanese supermarkets and supermarket restaurants! A ton more vegetables and pickled vegetables, very healthy. Soft rice! Salmon that isn't overcooked or fishy. And a lighter, varied taste that's not drowned in teriyaki sauce. And while it varies by season, I got a super sweet orange slice today! Thankfully, even their soy sauce is real. TAKE-OUT only for now, so you will need to order beforehand or ring the door bell when you're ready to order from the menu at the restaurant. They do have green tea and Calpico not on the menu, which does change daily so some items like a side salad might not be available. 15~ Minutes to get your order made-to-order if nobody's ahead of your order, so those on 1 hour lunch breaks will want plan accordingly.”

“Food 5/5, we ordered 7 set since the server recommended for the first visit. We sat at the bar, the chef made the rolls and served it right away. She also made sure that we enjoyed one first and gave us some time in between then served the next. The food was so fresh, the portion was good. Definitely recommend. The server was nice but he was pretty busy serving the whole restaurant by himself. The glass still has lipstick on. So I think they should be more careful about that. But overall, we had a great experience.”

“I'm a bit surprised, the food here is actually good! I ordered the Meals #10 Liempo Meal. I thought at first the serving was miniscule but come to eating, the portion was just right. My order came with house soup, I don't know what it is but it was very good. There was also a small serving of papaya pickles and some java rice. The total was around $15, no drinks. Will I be back, yes but not often. I have to justify that cost in my head.”

“Delicious with a capital D! We had the mussels to start with and it was tender and the garlic flavor is just right. Then we had the wonton soup with egg noodle and the soup is refreshingly light with just the right flavor. The back rib bone soup had tender, fall off the bone meat. The soup is flavored just right. They are family friendly and parking is free. Highly recommended! UPDATE: the grilled lobster was perfect! It was fresh and full of flavor! Yum yum yum! MORE UPDATE: Tried the lobster with garlic noodle today and my goodness, I can finish another one because they have a special way of cooking it that the flavors are simple yet tasty. Usually lobster can be dry or over cooked or overly flavored but they have the right way of preparing it! Gosh! Lobster two Saturdays in a row! Yum!”

“Best pho west of the 405 and on the same level of longtime institutions such as pho 79 and pho 101! The broth was savory and the meat quality (they give you more than standard) was some of the best I've tried in Socal including Westminister! What sets this place apart is that it closes at midnight and is a bit more stylish than your average Pho joint. I recommend the following: 'Pho your way' with Ribeye, flank & brisket Garlic noodles with shaken filet mignon. IG: kay_okay_eat”

“A new variety of coffee is in town, well maybe no new, but definitely great! Apparently I'm not the only one who decided to try something new, this place was bustling with business, is that a word? Hah! I had the Honey Vanilla Latte, and a Spinach Quiche, the latte had layers of flavor, a hint of cinnamon, a mellow sweet flavor with a robust coffee nut roast - absolutely amazing. When the very nice person took my order she asked if I liked my coffee strong or sweet and based on how I answered she would make a recommendation. I love both so she made me the Honey vanilla latte! She also recommended the Spinach Quiche which was very very good. May I add that the small size comes with 2 shots of espresso not one! Love that! The prices were very competitive in comparison to other places I have purchased, and by that I mean I saved a little (insert grateful) . There were plenty of tables and even a booth, the music was not overwhelming, it wasn't super loud, and there was just a general sense that this new business covered their bases to make it inviting and relaxing. Well done, and thank you. A last note, your going to have some bragging rights with that cute patio area complete with sun and shade!”

“The chicken burrito was good. I like mine grilled and they did that for me. The beans and green sauce had a lot of flavor. It was a little smaller than I was expecting but that's fine. The ambiance was nothing special but the place was clean and the staff was friendly. The only reason that they're getting 4 stars rather than 5 is because of the portion size. I've been frequenting Taqueria De Anda for years at several of their other locations and this was the smallest burrito I've ever had from any of their establishments. Overall it was a good experience.”

“Went to this new spot strictly for the pizza. We got a cheese pie and their version of the Hawaiian (Johnny tsunami). Inside the joint was very nice. Staff was competent and friendly. Wait time was about 20 minutes for the two pies. I saw the chefs in the back grating some parmesan on the cheese pie as the final touch before bringing it out. These guys seemed to care about their craft. We tried a slice on the street right out of the oven to give it a fair chance to impress us. The cheese looked fantastic. Perfect amount of flop. Nice undercarriage. Our favorite attribute of this pie was the dough. Perfect balance of crisp and chewiness. Flavor was on point. Good amount of cheese, not too much not to little, also not too greasy. I will say the pizza was lacking just a little more sauce. If I could have had just 1-2 more tablespoons of sauce to give the pie a little more acid from the tomato, this could have easily been a high 7’s low 8’s pie. My rating 7.3. I can’t forget to mention the big portions. Definitely worth the cost. Pass on the ranch - not worth the 75 cents, save it to tip your servers. We will be back to dine in and try some beer too. Very happy to have Beachwood Pizza & Beer in the neighborhood!”

“Want hot chicken but with a sweet twist? Al’s Hot Chicken hosted me at their grand opening of their Huntington Beach location a week ago. Their hottest chicken requires - yes, it does - a waiver. I opted for the mild myself, and it was delicious and the perfect spice level for me. It takes about 18 minutes to prepare, but it is hot and fresh. The staff was efficient, friendly, and lots of local young people working there. They also had, to my great delight, (hot) chicken and waffles. These waffles were amazing - crispy, sweet, and with a great deal of flavor as well. Remember, breakfast is my jam. Is it common for hot chicken places to serve waffles? Because this place does, and does it well.”

“Yum! Tru Bowl is great. Coming to the shop, there is a pretty big parking lot to begin with, and the shop itself is super clean/nice. The cashier was super nice - explaining to me how to order and helping me with any newbie mistakes I was making (which I made plenty). I ended up going with the Acai base with oats / greek yogurt. After they packed this into a bowl, I was taken along for a journey of all the many ingredients they had from fruits to toppings of all sorts. I don't remember exactly what I put in but added in blueberries, chia seeds, honey, coconut flakes and a bunch more. It was crazy to see how much that one could pack into these bowls. Afterwards, I happily ate this at one of the many tables/seats they had on the side, and it was refreshing / delicious. Great for a semi-warm day as today. Hope to be back soon!”
