“Excellent burgers, great patio, and super close to the beach. I came to King's Beach to see my friends play a show here and the night was awesome. The food was great. I had The Grid burger. It was classic bar food but, to be honest, the patty was cooked better than I expected. The bartenders were fast. I never waited more than a couple minutes for service and the bar was pretty packed. All-in-all this was a great experience and I will definitely be back.”

The prices very and can start from tacos being $2 to Seasfood being close to $11 which beats the competitive local shops with higher prices due to how close it is to the lake. “This place rocks! Apps are awesome. We had the crab dip, garlic bread, olives & shrimp cocktail and all totally delivered. We had a big group of 10 and split between pizzas and sandwiches for the entrees. Everything was great. I personally had the pork sandwich which was fantastic. My mom said that it was the best pizza she's had in quite a while. Gluten free options on the pizzas and pitas. Solid beer and drink selections. Great views of the lake. Not much more I can say but go!”

“Here's the BEST news: they were open on a Saturday night when nearly every other place was closed (or closing). Second: the place was cozy and felt like it had been around forever. Now the bad news: while the pizza sauce and the meatball sauce was tasty, original and likely their secret (sauce; get it?), the pizza was among the worst my wife and I have ever had. In fact, to quote her, "The crust tastes like they made it a week ago and put it in the freezer, only to take out, thaw and make now." I add to that, it was thin but flat; no "loft" that comes with "homemade." And the meatballs? I dreamt of what they would have tasted like 10 minutes after they were formed and cooked; however, these? They were tough (overcooked), and nondescript (no zing). Lastly, and only a pet peeve, not a real indiscretion: the beer glass was room temp. After a long day of work, the last thing you want it a medium temp beer. Also, in all fairness, as much as I love pasta, we didn't try any; although it looked terrific at nearby tables, and those people were slurping it up like it was their last meal. Let me leave you with the best attributes: they greet you at the door like family, and our server was as nice as can be. Bottom line: if you want ample portions, with fair "home-cooking," and you're up late, this could be just the place along this stretch of North Lake Tahoe. Thanks Lanza's!”

“Food is good, priced fairly. It is a noisy place so conversation in a group of 6 or more is difficult. I ordered the Lasagna. It was a large piece, with plenty of garlic bread, but it was very dry & needed a lot more marinara sauce. I asked our waitress for some more sauce on the side, which she brought, and after adding it to my lasagna it tasted much better. Pizza ordered by others in our group looked good, & my wife enjoyed her Veggie burger.”

“We had our wedding at Gar Woods this past week and it couldn’t have been any more perfect. Maia and Amy made the wedding planning processes easy, fun and stress-free. Gar Woods and their staff took care of setting up all of our decorations at the ceremony and reception sites as well as packing them up for us at the end of the night. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and running smoothly. Both Amy and Maia stayed at the reception and helped me keep the event moving and on point. The outside ceremony venue was gorgeous. Gar Woods had their staff clean the grass and wedding site to make it immaculate. Their efforts made for fantastic photos! They also set up all of our outside decorations so that our friends and family could enjoy the day free of having to worry about anything other than enjoying themselves (minus the arch, which is to be expected). The food was amazing and I am still getting compliments on how beautiful and tasty everything was! I loved the fact that we chose three main dishes and the guests picked what they wanted at the wedding, just like you would do at a restaurant. It made it easier for me to not have to keep track of what people ordered and it allowed the guests to not be tied down to something they picked months in advance. We had a fantastic time at Gar Woods and would 110% recommend them to anyone looking for a gorgeous, beach front, stress-free wedding on Lake Tahoe. Thank you Gar Woods, Amy and Maia for making us feel like we were the only wedding you were ever going to host there.”

Travis & Natalie are both so knowledgable and even though they have tons of weddings to work on, they definitely treat you like they care more than anything about your day & only your day. “Best BBQ I've had! We had the ribs and the pulled pork, both of which were so smoky and juicy! The ribs were melt in your mouth good and fell right off the bone! Service was great, and the bartender was very knowledgeable about the menu as a whole. The BBQ sauce was so good that we bought a jar for us, and two more jars for friends! This place is right on the waterfront with amazing views of Lake Tahoe, and yet it was very fairly priced! We are already planning to come back when/if the Lord provides for us to visit this area again!”
