“Try this place. It is adorable in every way. The building is so cute, with it’s cozy patio in front, and the inside is charming. The service was friendly and we felt as if we were in a neighborhood cafe that just happens to be steps from the Truckee River, Dam, and all of those gorgeous trees. We had a sandwich, raspberry coffee cake, and they carry Clean drinks and much more. The bacon was so good, do breakfast. When you go to Tahoe this is the kind of place you are hoping to find and revisit every time you go. It is a real gem. If you want local, this is a must. What a treat, thank you for the food and welcome environment.”

“The Dam Café is situated right near the creek in Tahoe City, on the corner of an insanely busy intersection. It’s a cute cafe, with a small but adequate selection of expensive (but all the food around here is) sandwiches and smoothies. I had the Neptune Tuna Sandwich- The tuna is made with the interesting twist of grated carrot. I enjoyed the sandwich and recommend the Dam cafe if you’re looking for a casual lunch at small hightop or a table outside.”

“I went last Friday, and then came back for more Saturday. I just got pizza, and it was really good. Go early, grab a seat on the deck and take it easy. Just straight up solid pizza, but by all the local contractors eating Mexican food, I assume they know do more than "just pizza," and well. Friendly staff, cozy atmosphere. I'll be back, again.”

“The views are gorgeous but, unfortunately, the food does not match. I ordered the lamb and my wife had gnocchi. The lamb had so much seasoning that I couldn't taste the flavor of the meat. The seasoning should compliment the flavor of the lamb, not overpower it. My wife enjoyed the gnocchi. The portion size for both dishes were small, but the prices are not.”

“The restaurant has a very nice and upscale atmosphere. I had the NY Strip steak which was about 16oz and it was absolutely delicious. It was cooked just how I asked, perfectly pan seared, and the flavor was outstanding. The serving staff we're very kind and very helpful with explaining menu options, wine lists, and just being friendly. They were very good about making sure you were well taken care of. Reservations are required and it was nice that when we arrived on time a table was ready for us.”
