“Just spent a few days at Desert Ironwoods Resort. A good friend of mine, and many others, recently passed and a celebration of life took place at the resort. My friend lived there and the resort crew knew him well. They pulled out all the stops to make it happen and really celebrated my friends life. All of us are extremely grateful for all they did. I stayed in one of the rooms and was very pleased with everything there. May need to go back with the wife and do some exploring with one of their side by sides.”

“The green chili pepper and cactus soup was absolutely phenomenal, never had cactus soup before but now I will search for it. And the Kesling sub sandwich also was very good and so filling. The grilled romaine salad was good but could have been grilled a bit more. Sitting outside is a great view of the mountains in the passing RVs. I also enjoyed the beer selection on draft.”

“While staying at Casa del Zorro in Borrego Springs we had dinner at the Fox Bistro. Delicious drinks prepared by Jerry, the bartender started us off. I had the wedge salad, one of the best I’ve eaten. Lots of bacon, blue cheese and drizzle of balsamic vinegar on top of the dressing. The Chilean sea bass was moist, firm and impressively presented atop expertly done risotto with a citrus sauce complimenting the dish. A bottle of Napa Valley Rutherford Vintners Cab paired well even with fish. Given the heavy rain and flood warnings today, they were prepared to handle the crowd of visitors and locals that visited this evening. Thank you!”

“Had a blast here for dessert and a cold drink. Staff was friendly and indoor vibe was pretty chill. We dined in and staff wore masks, there were just a few tables seated so everything felt very comfortable. We both ordered the mud pie (ice cream cake) and loved it, but couldn't finish the entire slice. My Modelo draft was on point. Ironically, a group of gay men bought my husband and I two lemon martinis just to be kind – which we greatly appreciated. Who knew Borrega Springs was so progressive :)”

“I had a coupon that was at least 3 years old and they accepted it kindly. I got a large sausage pizza and it was absolutely yummy. The atmosphere is fun, the background music was uplifting and I felt happy being there. The service was top notch also. I will return for more of their tasty menu someday. See photos!”
