“Oh my goodness!!! 😍 such a beautiful atmosphere and their food! The Chicano Batman taco and chicken breakfast taco are DELICIOUS! I’ve never had Tex-Mex before and now I know what I’ve been missing! The flavors are amazing and more robust than traditional Mexican food. I highly recommend HomeState! The workers are helpful and friendly, please show them kindness as they did just recently open. The line to get in took about 20/25 minutes but it was well worth it!! They even offer umbrellas so you can have some shade while you wait! We will be back!! 🫶”

“This place is great, I have nothing but positive things to say. Usually when we all go to chain restaurants your experience is nothing but conventional. You receive your run-of-the-mill food. The service is your standard friendly. You eat and you go home. I must say that with this restaurant it's not just your prototypical L&L. Why? You might ask. Well let me break it down for you. 1. The Food: It's fresh! I can taste the high quality of all the ingredients that they used. Believe me, I love eating out so I know the difference. On each bite I can tell that they really make sure that they cooked and prepared it appropriately. 2. The Service: As long as they meet the standard, that's an okay restaurant in my book. Well guess what? This place exceeded my standard of great service. You can feel the positivity as soon as you walk in that door. Which takes me to the last part of this review.. 3. The Atmosphere: I can sense the feeling of calmness in this place. The location is quite accessible as well as the parking. I feel that I'm really in Hawaii. And I have to add this... The place is just squeaky clean! It just makes you feel at ease. Despite their busy schedule, we had a chance to talk to the owners of this particular L&L Branch and they are very professional and quite lovely. Thank you for the amazing food! I lived in Texas and North Carolina for many years and I know good chicken. I would have ordered the 911 but my partner is wimp prefers a gentler spice kick. We went with the medium. I would have enjoyed more heat, but the flavor was incredible. The chicken was tender, moist and flavorful. The pickles. The pickles hit the spot. Get extra on the side. Enjoy!! “I just heard about this new place opening up. I love the concept of art paired with food and drinks which changes every few months. I was only grabbing a cocktail this time but I'd love to come back to try the food! I had the dahlia cocktail which was delicious and beautiful: tequila, violet and egg white. “We had been looking forward to a closer location being built, and this did not disappoint! I had the Philly CheeseSteak and a latke, both delicious. I’m looking forward to trying everything on the menu, honestly, it all looks good, I changed my mind about three times. Indoor and outdoor seating, and a parking lot (although parking is at a premium, we parked on the side street). I’m already in Oceanside a lot so I’m looking forward to adding this to my local breakfast/lunch options.”
