Picante mexican grill

“Food is excellent, location not so much. They used to be located down the street from me and i would go weekly, the employees were great and food was always top notch. Now they are located inside the Aztec foods hub, you no longer get to see our shower with the employees and parking is non existent unfortunately. Still worth the trip because of the quality of the food but it is a shame it is so hard to get to.”

MJ's Eatery Philly Cheesesteaks and more

Address: 6334 El Cajon Blvd, San Diego, CA 92115, USA

Restaurant

“This is one of those ghost kitchens. I knew that going in and was prepared for mediocre food. Got an original cheesesteak and was surprised by the $15. Got the bag and thought, this is a little light for over 15, but I’ll wait and see. When I took the first bite I was more than impressed. 5/5 worth every penny, whoever cooked it up did it right, respect to the cook I’ll be coming back.”

Restaurant

Sahara on Adams

Address: 3355 Adams Ave Ste A, San Diego, CA 92116, USA

Restaurant

“If they improved the seasoning of their food and were a bit speedier getting the fresh stuff out then this rating could be higher. Ordered all the specialty items and the best were the shawarma eggrolls. Tabouli was good. Baba ganoush needs work. The pickled turnips were terrible as they needed to be soaked but longer before serving as it was still crunchy, flavorless, and not pickled. Greek salad and Sahara salad are good. Their tzatziki and garlic sauce are fantastic. We will go back to try the other stuff and give it another shot but we are bummed cuz everything looks so good but taste needs improvement. However, plenty of pre packed items to take to go beyond Mediterranean food - various wraps, sandwiches, meatball sub, baby back ribs, orange chicken, and more.”

Wormwood

Address: 4677 30th St, San Diego, CA 92116, USA

Restaurant

“Not to be missed. This is a delightful bistro/restaurant with an outdoor patio that gives you the vibes of Europe (France or Italy). The food is great for sharing and I suggest you do that because there are so many great dishes and you may want to try them all. We were a group of 5 so we tried almost every item on the menu. YUM! Starting with a delightful citrus flavored Oyster - this was refreshing and a surprise. Even our oyster hating friend tried them... she was impressed... not slimy or fishy... just a clean flavor that left the palate wanting more. The was followed by scallops. What can I say, it is hard to screw up scallops. This chef has a deft hand in searing them perfectly and accompanying them with a get sweet and spicy garnish... loved. To accompany these 2 sharing plates we had the bread - a winner with the onion butter. One dish that is amazing is the riff on the French Onion soup. Absolutely inspired and delicious as was the heirloom tomato dish. The Asparagus was a miss for me but others loved it. I found few veggies and mostly sauce and egg. The Chicken Roulade was so moist and so delicious that I would return for that. Accompanied with the Onion Tart ... that is a great meal for 1. I am not a sweets person per se but I did try them so I could comment. First dish was an interpretation of a Mille Feuille and it didn't disappoint. The second dessert was a version of a crumble with fruit compote (didn't try it). So my final comment is that I hope this Restaurant becomes a mainstay on the San Diego dining scene and that all foodies give it some love. Bon Appetite”

Starbucks

Address: 3352 Adams Ave, San Diego, CA 92116, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“Looking for a good Starbucks in San Diego, one with a warm local vibe and a friendly outside "pedestrian" sitting area - try Normal Heights. This location has a nice community feel to it, a mix of friendly locals, some on the fly in / out - others moving slower with dogs and babies! Although typically busy, it never seems crowded inside the Lobby. Lots of windows to see outside. The ceiling has a nice high quality avant garde custom finish. Good tunes. Parking in the lot, or 2 hrs free on Adams. Two of the Baristas who always shine here with exceptional customer service and a friendly smile are Paola & Alexia. Their positive attitudes, attention to detail and retail courtesy make buying a Black Grande Pike - a special part of the morning. In the corporate world, these same attributes will assure them of business success wherever their work-journeys lead them...”

Blackmarket Bakery North Park

Address: 4686 30th St, San Diego, CA 92116, USA

Bakery Restaurant

“Blackmarket Bakery is a hidden gem in North Park. Not only do they have great breakfast items, they bake all of their items in house and have a wide selection of knick knacks (cards, candles, chocolates, etc). This is a great place to pick up small gifts. I have come here a few times and the short bread cookies are a hit, specifically the earl grey short bread and the mocha walnut shorties. The earl grey cookies go great with tea and the mocha walnut shorties taste like the edges of brownies (IE the best part). As far as breakfast goes, I like getting the Fresh Prince breakfast sandwich with bacon as well as the Soyrizo sandwich. Can't go wrong with either, but the Fresh prince is more balanced since there are some veggies in there. There is covered outdoor seating that is dog friendly. I will be back soon!”

Tachido Sushi

“06-21-23 Had cravings for Thai food. Decided to come here and ordered my favorite dish, Dunken Noodles. Ordered -Drunken Noodles w duck $17- the duck was old. Noodles definitely didn’t have flavorful drunken noodles taste I had here many times. -Tom Ka Chicken $13- only one of the four dishes we ordered that I liked. Tasty! -Green Curry Shrimp $16- coconut milk over powering the curry. Yearning for that kick, was not there. -Spicy Raw Beef $14- very blah. And, beef didn’t taste like beef. Lacked lemon and seasoning. -Steamed rice $2- perfectly cooked! -Thai Coffee $5- overly sweet. Liked: New decor”

Tajima Ramen Bar

“REALLY GOOD FOOD. It is now one of my favorite ramen places to eat. The Tajima (たじま) ramen, Spicy Tuna Poke, and the fried Brussel Sprouts are my favorites.
