Sesame pancake is cooked fresh and delicious. I highly recommend it. A big thick pancake with green onion inside and sesame on top of it. Dumplings also cheap and good.
Most authentic northern style Chinese food at San Mateo downtown. I have been going here almost every week. Grown up in a Chinese city where noodle making/eating is paramount, I can say it’s the best taste in all noodle Places I went in SV. Milk tea sweetness is just about right. They are family restaurant and one thing to notice is that don’t use Ubereat cuz you will miss all the authentic parts.
(注意,削面的浇头可以特别点单,周末还有甜麻叶/油条) /you can even make some special orders.
Not that I would know first hand but this place seems pretty authentic. Regardless, food was very good and service was pretty good too. The dumplings were just ok with a selection of only 3 but if I want a feast of dumplings, I'll go to a dumpling house. The pork in the braised pork on preserved vegetables was amazing.
Definitely a solid experience for our first time there and we will definitely be back!
Silky Bean Curd Jelly is awesome! Also like the Jing Dong Pork/Beef Pie. And spicy beef combination as appetizer. Authentic Northern Chinese Style Food. Service is great too.
