“The best mushroom swiss burger in the area. Their shredded lettuce makes it very unique.”

“Excellent food quality, ambience, superb bar with 5 Mary Whiskey is a must try. Like the tradition that depicts it a vintage place make one feel closer to people and far away from those corporate modern pub and lounge. Only feedback would be to get more staff to work because I felt like there is shortage of staff and sometimes they forget to offer plates and cutlery because they are in hurry. Would definitely visit again.”

“My husband and I love Victor's. We always get the chimichanga vegetarian and it's always perfect. It's a huge meal. We always say just eating half but end up eating it all. One of our top favorites.”

“Great food and awesome hospitality! The owner made us feel very much at home and even shared an off menu item his family made for themselves that was delicious (it was a coconut, cilantro and mint chutney I think) The samosas were huge and very flaky and fresh. Some of the food was a little spicy but I felt like it was a perfect amount and not overwhelming like some Indian food can be. I would definitely stop here if you want some good quality food and a relaxing environment”

“We got married at Mount Shasta Resort in March, it was really the perfect venue for us. The thing we wanted most was a venue with a view of Mount Shasta and the resort provided just that. Out of the venues we looked at it, it was the only one with a view worth mentioning. Rebecca, the coordinator was so helpful and went above and beyond our expectations. Her help and flexibility made the whole process so easy for us. The food was also amazing! We had the chicken, pesto pasta, and beet and goat cheese on a crouton for the appetizer. One of our guests came up and told us it was the best food they had at the wedding and for us, that wasn't a huge concern, so we were really excited everyone enjoyed it. We were also able to bring our own wine, which was so helpful. Overall, this venue allowed me to have my dream wedding at much less than I expected. So happy we chose Mount Shasta Resort, we'll definitely be staying again in the future!”

“Service was great! We had the chimichanga with ground beef which was bland, a pork enchilada which was delicious, and the 2 taco combo with 1 beef and 1 chicken. The chicken taco was good, the beef was bland.”

“I got the bbq ribs pork style. The ribs were super delicious and soft. The ribs were cooked so good you could eat the edges of the bone. They also have great Mac and cheese id highly recommend. The only downside is when you ask for water they give you a little cup and you have to keep asking for refills.”

“Cute little local spot. We had the burgers and they were fresh and delicious. The fries were really good too. No indoor seating, all outside. But the weather was great, so it didn't matter. It's right on the main road, so great views of Mt. Shasta and the downtown area. It is a little on pricey side, but worth trying out.”

“We just had our company holiday party here, and I can't tell you how perfect it was. Food kept coming, the crew thoroughly enjoyed it, and John kept us happy and within budget without any hiccups. Multiple diet needs were easily accomodated, too! John's is already the go to casual date night hang of choice, and a no brainer for our crew.”

“Great food! Wonderful customer service. Quick meal preps. Great presentation and quality. I had the vegan bagel which I loved! It was healthy, tasty and filling! My wife had the Shakti bowl. Both with tempeh instead of chicken. The rice felt slightly undercooked in the bowl, so my wife didn’t like it. The bbq sauce on the tempeh felt a little too salty. I’m not a fan on kombucha, but they served a variety of home brewed light kombucha and also make other drinks.”

“First off, the huge tall burger is not available for lunch. The cheese curds are awesome, better than anything we had in 4 miserable years in Wisconsin (supposed cheese curd capital of the world). The seasoning was excellent on the coating, the curds chewy and perfect, the house made ranch spot on. We ordered the Zola's 57 burgers with bacon. They used bacon bits, like from a bag for salads at home. Not good. Otherwise the burgers were OK, nothing special. The fries were extra crispy with some crispy coating, very good. Service was fine. The bathrooms were not clean, the sink area looks like it has not been properly cleaned and scrubbed in a long time. Spent $60 with tip for a two person lunch, no drinks.”

“Love this place! Will definitely be back regularly. Fast service, chill environment, great drink selection, yummy food, plenty of games to play for free. We came here after waiting almost an hour at another restaurant and leaving. We were in low spirits… they put pep back in our step and took great care of us. Thanks!!”

“I came here when they were definitely at half capacity and I expected to wait because they’re short staffed and before you go in the sign tells you they are short staffed before you go in. Everyone giving them bad reviews on the wait time isn’t right. The food was yummy. I had a stir fry and the extra juice inside of it I put in rice I made at home and it was so delicious. They don’t serve the takeout food on paper plates I just put mine on one. If you’re nervous to come here give it a try but expect a wait but the food will be worth the wait. Those weren’t the portion sizes either I was just splitting it with a few family members.”

“Great Food Experience our group ordered Veggie 14’ Pizza Veggie Hot Sandwich Fries Lemonade The ambience is decent. Good amount of seating. The Service is super slow, I guess it’s a family operated restaurant and not taking off any points for the slow service as today there was fires near Mt Shasta and some benefit of doubt that they were not fully staffed Now the important part TASTE : all in our group felt that it tasted AWESOME!!!!! If you are a vegetarian and near Mt Shasta do try the above items mentioned you shall not be disappointed. They did mess up our order (fries ) a bit but were prompt to bring it to us when we informed.”

“We stopped at the The Oven Bakery during our Summer road trip from Tigard, OR through Northern California. We stayed in Mount Shasta a couple of days to hike the amazing trails that are nearby. We found the eateries in Mount Shasta to be great overall and the Oven Bakery is no exception! My wife bought the almond croissant and it is phenomenal. It is so light and airy and has an amazing flavor. We are big fans of almond desserts. Definitely give them a try.”

“The food was so delicious, we had their fish and chips, sandwiches and garlic fries. Everything was so good except the salmon sandwich burger. However, we would just give 5 stars for the customer service. Donny is an amazing human. He’s humorous and very kind. We loved the overall experience. Must try place.”

“Literally the only fast food drive thru place in town! Staff does a good job at adjusting to the drastic differences between when they are dead and when they are slammed. No complaints with the food. Nice and hot. Helpful Tip: they will sometimes close early if things are slow.”

“Great ambience and tasty food. The portion sizes are huge. The sweet potato fries are really great. Located with a great view of Mt.Shasta , this is the original Black Bear Diner. Would definitely recommend to take a stop here if you are in a road trip. We had Veggie omelette, chicken and waffle and eggs and pie.”

“This is a really good place to eat, we were told by the desk at Best Western thought it was an OK place but that was a personal opinion not by the hotel. We looked at the reviews looked at the pictures and thought we would try it and we were glad we did. Irma the bartender and waitress was awesome with us, she didn’t say much until we started asking her questions then she was a sweetheart and an awesome waitress. The food portions are generous the taste of the food was really good, the salsa and chips were very good. We did not want a sweet margarita so she had made a margarita out of oranges lemons limes and tequila and it was one of the best margaritas we have ever had thanks to Irma. We did not expect to have that great of a meal so we were surprised we couldn’t even finish the food. I would highly recommend this place to try”

“It was decent. The fish and chicken were most likely frozen patties repacked into fancy meals, but still tasted good. The pretzel bites were great. The waiter and other staff were very nice and helpful, but service kind of slow (which is pretty common at all places these days, so I don't fault them for that). Prices were pretty good for the local area. Big windows to view beautiful local scenery and comfortable seating, lots of space for busy nights. Really nice patio that I would love to sit at if I go in the warmer months. It's near a hotel so plenty of parking and walking distance if you are staying nearby. Overall decent experience, casual fine dining look/feel without having to dress up.”

“This is my go to lunch spot. Tasty, good size burritos at very reasonable prices. It's one of the few eateries in town that has NOT decided to gouge us due to "supply chain issues". The gal taking orders is super nice and will sometimes bring your food right to your table if she isn't slammed, which is rare. And free refills on my Arnold Palmer! This place will always have my business. The only room for improvement would be a few more tables and more frequent patio cleaning to keep the flies away.”

“The whole experience was fantastic. I had dinner at the bar with a friendly and helpful bartender. I ordered fried calamari and home-made gnocchi Bolognese. Everything was perfectly cooked and tasted delicious. Don't miss this restaurant when you're in town!”

“Great little coffee and breakfast stop. We went on labor day and luckily they were open. But it was crowded, of course. I had a egg, cheese, hashbrown and sausage bagel sandwich and it was delicious!!! They had indoor and outdoor seating. The weather was perfect, so we sat outside. They have teas, pastries and vegan options too. Really pretty and delicious place. Happy we found this little gem.”

“The place was great ambiance was fantastic the service the people were excellent so nice. I was dying for oatmeal for breakfast they were the only ones that had it. It had raisins & strawberries on the side along with honey and milk and butter. It was awesome I love oatmeal and I know good oatmeal when I eat it and it was the best. I also asked for a couple pieces of crisp bacon which came out perfect. The wife had two eggs over medium an English muffin and grits. The eggs were cooked to perfection White's cooked yolk runny. The grits were fantastic I'm not a big lover of grits my wife is but I tried them and they were good. And their coffee was organic and it was so good we paid a little extra for them to fill our thermos for the day as we went on our trip. They do have a great menu so if you ever come through Mount Shasta check them out they are definitely worth it.”

“This place has the most amazing fajitas we have had anywhere hands down. They are super tender and full of flavor. The portions are huge and definitely will fill you up. The staff was great and super attentive and friendly. This is a must eat if around here. Do your self a favor and get the fajitas, it will make your day.”

“Pretty good food! We stayed at the Shasta Inn, and Harvest is located inside the lobby space, this made dinner super easy. I had the short ribs, which was perfectly cooked, 5 stars. My husband got the fried chicken with mac’n cheese. The mac’n cheese was really good, but I wasn’t crazy about the seasoning on the fried chicken and we both thought it was a little overcooked. Nice menu has something for everyone.”

“The Garden Tap is so cute. I love being able to walk around and do some plant shopping then relax to a nice sour or glass of wine. The vibes here are so relaxing and peaceful. The food was amazing. The pizzas were very delicious and the salads are very large, perfect for sharing. I had a great time and I will definitely be returning.”
