From the moment you walk in, you can tell Crave Gelato Kofi Bar is different, is special. Very high quality buildout. You can tell the owner took the time to care about the product being delivered. The food and coffee is exceptional. When you take a minute to look into what is actually going into your food and where the coffee is sourced you can see why this place is special. Its a bit difficult to justify paying $6.47 for a small iced vanilla coffee when I can drive two more minutes to Tree Lounge and get the same thing for $4.50. We took advantage of the large table on the North facing side (I think North), of the cafe and decorated my graduation cap. “Oh boy, this place is definitely making it harder for me to lose those extra pounds. Fantastic pasties and bread. Great coffee and friendly staff. Their meals are also hardy and full of flavor. My only issue with this place is all the broken plates and chipped mugs. Every time I go there (which is often) I always get something broken. For as much as you spend, this place should be mindful of what they are sending out. Especially since this place seems to pride itself on quality. There's nothing that ruins a presentation of beautiful food than a cracked or chipped dish. It's all part of the experience. Other than that, this place is consistent with their food. “Nick is the park host and also the chef at the Hobson Beach Grill. He is super friendly and makes great food. He has Decades of cooking experience from owning restaurants in New York in California. We had several great conversations. Oh! The food was terrific. I had the steamed mussels with marinara sauce which was amazing. We also had a wonderful pizza and salad. Do yourself a favor and check it out. Last year when we stayed at Faria Beach people told us to check out the snack bar at Hobson Beach. Make sure you stop by.”

“This store is open again.... now as Channel Isl Juice Co! It's an important part of town near the hospitals. Hospitals mean 'health' and so does this place. It's a natural to be there. The food is super health-conscious and delicious. Robby, the proprietor, is an excellent host. Put it on your regular-places-to-stop list for food or beverages. “LOVE this place! My husband and I love to bring our new baby here for little family dates. The staff is always so upbeat and friendly, and their menu is insanely delicious. Even if you’re not vegan, you’ll find something you love here! Great patio area and hang out spots. It also has ample parking and is open 7 days a week (many restaurants in Ojai are closed half of the week and it’s sometimes hard to even find a decent place to eat, so this is a much needed addition to the Ojai restaurant scene).”

The staff is so friendly and promotes an atmosphere that is welcoming to conversation among customers and between staff and customers and makes you feel familiar. If you come here a few times a week they will remember you. It's like the Cheers of Starbucks. It's interior is designed for pure productivity and functionality. The inside seating is 8 tables. 7 are for 2 people and 1 could seat 4 but is laid out for 3. The outside patio is extremely small as well. So having any type of extended stay is out. This isn't the extended office. This isn't the evening or morning coffee with friends. It's the shop for a quick meet and greet with a friend before you head to work. It's the cafe where you gulp your food and drink during lunch. Like I said it's functional.”
