“I took my mom to Serendipity for her 75th Birthday breakfast. We were a party of 6 we arrived at 930am, there was no wait. Our server Gus was amazing!! Super friendly, very attentive. The food was served very fast and it was delicious. The eggs Benedict was very good, the omelettes are delicious but my favorite are the pancake combos. The pancakes are light and fluffy and are available in a variety of flavors. The food and the service are outstanding but the cost is a bit on the pricey side, but I do appreciate the amazing service so I think it’s worth it.”

“Wow what a fantastic restaurant and bar. I cannot overstate what a great time we had here. First off the service was amazing. The staff was top notch and really made the evening enjoyable. We started the evening with the bacon wrapped shrimp which was fantastic. Then the spicy tater tots... a lot of restaurants just over cover the tots so there is no crunch...not at Phil's they came out perfect. Just the right amount of crunch while still getting just enough of the spicy sauce to taste it but not over power the tater tot. Finally as the last appetizer the Mac and Cheese.....now I have had Mac and cheese before and I like to think I make a pretty good Mac and Cheese....Phil's place has made me question my ability, and made my Mac and Cheese feel like it may as well have come from a box....it was hands down one of the best cheese sauces I have tried...not sure what the secret is but I would come back just for that.....the Entrees were just as good. We all shared a steak, the roasted chicken and the schnitzel. Each and every dish was spectacular. One of our group makes a darn good schnitzel and she is now crying that she can no longer make schnitzel after tasting the schnitzel at Phil's. I was thoroughly impressed and if you are in the area this new restaurant is a definite must try. Thanks Phil's you have really made a great first impression can't wait to try more of your menu!”

“Nick is the park host and also the chef at the Hobson Beach Grill. He is super friendly and makes great food. He has Decades of cooking experience from owning restaurants in New York in California. We had several great conversations. Oh! The food was terrific. I had the steamed mussels with marinara sauce which was amazing. We also had a wonderful pizza and salad. Do yourself a favor and check it out. Last year when we stayed at Faria Beach people told us to check out the snack bar at Hobson Beach. Make sure you stop by.”

One of the best parts is that they reuse their glass bottles to reduce waste. And - of course - I wouldn't be writing if their juice wasn't top notch! The permanent outdoor seating is set up nicely, and live music inside, along with a dance floor, make this a popular spot on weekends. This time out, I paired a nice hazy IPA with the goat cheese, fig, and arugula flatbread, which was delicious. Swapped a piece or two for a friend's equally good mushroom and truffle flatbread, and another friend thoroughly enjoyed their tri-tip sandwich. Everyone left full and fully satisfied. There are many good food options in Ventura, but if you're looking for good drinks, music, and a menu full of tasty bites and good service, make sure The Twist is on your list.”

“Tried the place for the first time today but it definitely won’t be the last time. We tried it because we wanted Thai and it had a high star rating, it deserves its 5 star rating. I had drunken noodles with shrimp and my friend had pineapple curry, finished the meal off with Mango Sticky rice, and it’s was all fantastic. I would imagine you could get anything off the menu here and it would be excellent. Service was personable and friendly, food came out quickly but not so fast fast you to make you think it’s not being made to order. All of the veggies were fresh, the shrimp was cooked perfectly (I hate over cooked shrimp), and the sticky rice was on point. Order with confidence, excellent little spot!”

“My wife and I popped in here this morning to grab some breakfast. I have to say it was super good. We showed up around 9:30am and there was almost no one around. But the line started adding up after we got there. I ordered the açai bowl with strawberry, blueberry, honey, and some Chia seed. My wife got the avocado toast with no poached egg. In hindsight I would recommend to get the poached egg on it. This location is super clean. It’s located in a great spot. Because right after that we went for a walk on the beach. The restroom was really clean too that’s a big priority for me. They have lots of options to choose from. You can even grab lunch to go or a juice when you’re done. Go check it out.”

“This store is open again.... now as Channel Isl Juice Co! It's an important part of town near the hospitals. Hospitals mean 'health' and so does this place. It's a natural to be there. The food is super health-conscious and delicious. Robby, the proprietor, is an excellent host. Put it on your regular-places-to-stop list for food or beverages.
