“We finally got to try the Chicken Coop on a UTA weekend and weren’t disappointed! The service was great, she and her son were really friendly. My husband called in our order once he left the commissary and it was ready when he arrived. We ordered 2 Chicken Tender Baskets (one tossed in Garlic Parm) and the other with a side of Orange Marmalade Sauce. We also ordered an 8 Piece Wing Combo, all of our food was hot, fresh and delicious. I loved the Orange Marmalade sauce and the chicken was really moist. We will definitely eat here again, thanks for a great lunch!”

“Came over this morning for our work group breakfast. We enjoyed the most delicious carrot muffins with pink beet cream! A bowl of fresh fruits with yogurt and gluten free banana muffins. Washed down by a local brew of coffee sweetened by organic raw brown sugar. Scrumptious indeed! First time here and looking forward to bringing my family to this amazing Cafe. “❤️😁 Waterfront Restaurant. Nice place for a romantic date; even if you’re married! Tasty menu with some unique entrees that are a recommended experience. The owner is warm and friendly. I’ve travelled to Turkey(a wonderful experience in itself), the atmosphere and food is very much like Turkey, including waiters where English is a second language. Very authentic’ Just remember to point at what you want to order. If you can go when the owner is there, you will enjoy his warm personality…. and he speaks fluent English. Very nice experience.”

“Just went again today (my second visit) and food was good, but service was extremely slow like before. There is only 1 server and seems like only 1 cook. Boat noodle is good, but on the sweeter side. The bathrooms meals like sewage but I think it's because the building is just very old. Saw 2 big and alive, but barely moving 🪳 in the women's stall so I told the worker and it was removed. Be prepared to wait if you dine in.”

“Last week was their first week open. They had lines and waits, but it should be expected as there is not much else in this area and something new is what everyone wants to try. The day I went I found out they closed at 4 pm (I believe they will be closing at 8 pm now) and only had whatever was left in their case. There were about 5 people in front of me so I figured I would try again the next day at 1430 and there was still a line. Ordered my food (12 piece chicken) and there wasn’t enough breasts. The young blonde woman who was putting the order smiled and apologized to me. I told her it was no problem as you could see how busy she was working trying to get these orders all together. I told her she could choose something else instead and she was truly grateful that I accepted that. Hard worker and was smiling to the customers despite frantically doing things by herself. The chicken was amazing in my opinion. A little bit of spice to it and the chicken was definitely moist and seasoned well! My only critique, you knew this was your first week opening, understand you Amy not understand the demand first off, but you had one person trying to do the cooking, and one giving out the orders. The owner (I believe) of the chevron and his family was not helping out. They were doing some stuff, but the priority should of been where the customers were at and there didn’t seem to be a hustle by the other staff. The girl at the register could of been doing register as well as helping in my opinion. I thought about getting their meals but they don’t come with sides only a biscuit from what I saw. You still have to purchase the sides for which I believe to be a bit much for what they were. So 5 stars for food, 3 for not utilizing your staff correctly (in my opinion anyways, could of been factors I did not see admittedly). I will definitely be back for more though.”

“Im from Sac, I was getting a job in Oroville. Came through Marysville, figured id find a good Mom and Pop joint for a dog. These guys are just starting up an old tradition. Family operation that makes you feel at home. The dog was good, my fault for the lack of mustard. I recommend a bun warmer for dogs and burgers. Other than that it was just like the old days.
