“Visited here after a local pickleball tournament in Buena Vista. Absolutely amazing BBQ made fresh in the smokers next to the truck. Our sandwiches were packed with meat, way more than any other place I've been to in Colorado. I've never been to Texas so I don't know for sure, but this has got to be what they're raving about down there! Thanks! We'll come by again if we're ever in BV!”

“Pleasant restaurant on highway 24 just north of main street. Dining for breakfast I'm not a egg person so I got hash browns with the poblano green Chile over the top and a (perfectly) toasted bagel. They get their preserves from a maker in Palisade CO and it was lovely. The green Chile was extremely mild. My dining partner had the 3 2 1 and he enjoyed it. Sunny place to enjoy a meal.”

“I was out looking for a Red Bull real quick and thought “oh a cute lil gas station I’ll just run in.” I was taken by surprise seeing that this was a sweets and soda shoppe. The owner was so kind and told us all about their sodas and homemade fudge, and a bit about the town. Went in for Red Bull, left with a 6 pack of a variety of sodas, 6 pieces of fudge, and a handful of candy. The fudge is to die for, I would visit Buena Vista again for this fudge alone. Definitely make a stop in here.”

When the cashier asks "what kind of cheese would you like on that sandwich, would you like sprouts on that sandwich, would you like a tomato?', etc... they should tell the customer BEFORE they run the credit card, that they are charging the customer for every item on the sandwich that they just so casually asked the customer about. Normally when I hear the question out of the blue "what kind of cheese would you like on that sandwich?" I assume that that the cheese is included with the sandwich and that I will not be surprised by finding a charge for cheese that I didn't even initially ask for. There was a 50 cent charge for lettuce for God sakes! The only way that I knew that I was charged separately for each of these items was that I asked for the receipt, which was not given to me until I asked. Having said all of that, l really do like the place and will continue to support it.”

“I've been coming to the Lariat for years. Whenever we camp or spend time in the area we stop in. It's probably the best live venue between Canon and Leadville. “We were married in Nov and had Elkhorn prepare 20 pizzas for our welcome party. We were met with confidence that 20 pizzas during a prime dinner hour was not an issue and that only 24 hours was needed to ensure they prep enough dough the night before. The pizza was ready on time for carry out and was a HIT! Probably my favorite pizza I’ve had in CO. All of our guests were raving about it including those from the East Coast ;) Thin crust, cooked to perfection. Every slice was eaten! Thank you, Elkhorn for kicking off the festivities.”

All of the staff from the hostess, kitchen crew, servers, bartenders and managers are always great and treat us very nice. It is always busy when we come but it is usually a Saturday night. Definitely worth the wait though. By far the best restaurant in Buena Vista!”

“Brian the head chef at Eddyline was absolutely incredible to work with! He worked with me early on to help cater my sister's wedding and got them everything they needed from start to finish. He is incredibly kind and was eager to make sure her and her new wife had nothing to worry about, making sure their guests were fed and happy the day of their wedding! Everybody in attendance absolutely loved the food and it catered to so many different preferences, he really & truly knocked it out of the park! 10/10 recommend and we can't wait to come back to Colorado to go get some more grub from Brain and his fantastic team!”

“Incredibly delicious gourmet grilled cheese sandwich made with house fresh , though. Fantastic French onion soup and tomato soup, too. Top-shelf port and fresh squeezed grapefruit juice made up our meal for two. This is definitely one of the finest dining experiences I've enjoyed in a long time, and I travel well frequently. The service was friendly, helpful, and attentive. We were grateful that staff didn't rush us out even though we were the last ones there. It was actually a magical experience because when all the people left, we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and music even more. For this and the artisan shop down the street alone, we'll return to Buena Vista soon from Texas.”
