“So glad we decided to try this newly opened Sandwich Shoppe, Places that can provide you with a delicious quick meal are few and far between, happy to report Lou & Mo’s is one of those rare gems. Making a great meatball is not an easy thing to do. I’m an older Italian lady who judges all meatballs by my own they need to be well seasoned, tender and just the perfect texture. The meatballs at Lou & Mo’s are perfection, When the owner stopped by the table to see how everything was I asked her if she stole her Mom’s meatball recipe. She laughed said it was indeed her Mom’s recipe and asked me how I knew I told her meatballs that good could only come out of the kitchen of an older Italian lady because they take years to perfect. My 1/2 meatball sub was on a toasted garlic buttered roll with delicious Sunday sauce and house roasted peppers (I opted out of the mozzarella). It was served with a crisp, fresh well dressed coleslaw and hot crispy French fries perfection! My dining companion is a vegan he was happy to see Lou & Mo’s had several options for him. He chose the vegan Cobb salad, Romaine & Kale dressed in olive oil and a red wine vinaigrette, topped with house roasted veggies, avocado, walnuts tomato and red onion. A generous salad, well dressed tasty and beautifully presented he was very happy. Needless to say we are looking forward to returning,”

“Great food. Seems more real than most chinese restaurants. We had teriyaki beef, steamed buns, dumplings, a spicy beef noodle dish, and also a pork hundun dish that was great. The 'pulled' noodles are awesome, homemade & each one is a different length. You get a lot of food too. The owners Lee & his wife are really nice. They're running this place & the one in west Hartford...Im very impressed. Give this place in the plaza a shot. It's great to get better & better food here in Newington. “I just posted this restaurant on my home page urging all my friends and family to run there. It is the best new edition to this area. Beats the restaurants in W.Hartford,Avon, etc. I have complained for years that wee had to leave here to eat. Who thought I’d find a great place here in town. Great wine selection and great service. Anyone who knows me, knows how much I love food. Would have gone back tonight, but had to eat the remaining food from last night. Our waitress even made us a fresh pot of coffee to top off the wonderful meal.Great desserts too !”

“We had our favorite sandwich, portobello mushroom with Swiss cheese and grilled veggies. I'd eat those every day if I could. They had outdoor seating and it was such a beautiful day out, what a perfect way to have lunch. All the staff were very helpful and very friendly. “My husband and I checked out this new sushi place a couple weeks ago for our anniversary. I don’t think we have had such a great dining experience in years! The service was five stars, the food was five stars, can I give more than five stars? For the last several years when we go out for sushi we usually enjoy some rolls but others we are not impressed with. Every single thing that we ordered was incredible. I’m looking forward to when we can go again. Hopefully they’ll have their liquor license by then and I can enjoy some sake as well. Oh, and don’t sleep on the Sushi sandwich appetizer. Yum!”

“They moved and have a new name. They switched places with Valenti's Pizza which is just a few doors down on the same side of the street (on the other corner). I will report back with the new name, but the place still says Mexican/El Salvadorian cuisine on the outside. The dining room is MUCH bigger and everything looks much cleaner as well! They also have someone on the phone now who speaks English natively.”
