“First time here and it was wonderful! George, the owner offered great conversation.. He showed us many new ideas that are coming. Our server was very good. I ordered the prime rib special and enjoyed it so much! My husband was very happy with the strip steak he ordered. They are going to have lots of live entertainment coming, and will offer whole belly clams by the end of the month! Can't wait to return!”

“I want to recognize first Frank (business is all about people) and Kenyon for being a great customer centric company. Frank was the person who managed my situation which was a tear in my plastic marine grill cover. He asked me to text him pictures of the ripped grill cover, which I did, and he immediately took action and I received a new cover in 48 hrs. under warranty. The grill is less than 2 years old and is only used in the summer as it is on my boat. I applaud Kenyon for standing behind their great products and Frank for being a great employee that makes Kenyon a great company with outstanding products.”

“So The Hop Know managed to capture that college town bar vibe. We went there knowing that the menu is all different kinds of pretzels, some stuffed some "knot". To my surprise, the stuffed pretzels we're really good. I had a Ruben pretzel sandwich and every bite was amazing. They have board games there by the door. Of course, their beer list is pretty long with lots of variety.”

“My family and I enjoyed brunch at Fresh Salt on Christmas and New Year’s Day. The brunch buffet both times had wonderful selections. Pasta station, soup station, carving station and omelette station and waffle station. Soup included parsnip which had a delicate flavor, creamy and smooth. The carving station had a choice between prime rib, leg of lamb and turkey. The self serve had cold seafood of smoked salmon, oysters, and much more. Hot buffet of fresh ravioli, swordfish and vegetables. Wonderful choice of breads and pastries. Delicious variety of salads including gold beet salad. Good selection of top shelf liquor. Wait staff was perfect! Very attentive and quick. Beautiful decorations and wonderful, peaceful views. I will always go back to Fresh Salt.”

“Cozy atmosphere, friendly service. Disappointed with the coffee-diner taste.Chicken salad was delicious but the tomatoes had no flavor so not a great salad. I should have tried a Paleo dish!”

“Wow! It is not often I eat out and say the food is as good as what I can make. We are traveling and happened to stop in here and are very happy we did! The beef on my burger was over an inch thick, cooked to my request of well done and so juicy. Really good onion rings, sweet potato fries and tasty doing sauces. Don't be in a hurry because this place is popular! Plan on taking a seat and enjoying the conversation and good food”

“Love this cafe! Although there are not a lot of choices, the food is terrific and fresh, the coffee is the best, and the staff is very pleasant and helpful. I had an apricot croissant..filled with fresh apricots. My friend had a yogurt parfait to die for. Sandwiches are great too.”

“We were looking for a good CT style (warm) lobster roll, and we weren't disappointed! The lobster pieces were delicious - some wonderful claw meat. They had some decent wines by the glass or bottle, though nothing local (and there are excellent Connecticut wines out there, by the way). Ambience is relaxed; nice view of the river marina. Glad we found this spot!”

“This is a place to take a date for the ambience . It is very romantic and has a nice two sided fire place burning. When we went we left the kids at home and went on one of our Anniversary. The next table was a family with very unruly children and I get it bc I have 3 kids. But we wanted to have a nice quiet evening. The waiter instantly resat us in the corner so we could have a peaceful dinner. The food is always amazing but sometimes when you have food allergies it is difficult for the kitchen to always get it right. I had a pork chop with seasoning when asked for it plain. But they remade it again to my liking and apologize for the inconvenience. This place isn't perfect but always a redo place. Love going for special occasions.”

“Ordered fish and chips. Wanted cod. They only had flounder. Wait staff was "OK". Large portions. Only wish they had cod instead of the thin flounder that was reported to be thicker than what we actually got. Food good, but have had better. Thank you for your response. I appreciate your commitment to freshness and quality. But thickness of offering was overstated, no one let us know that the option was limited to flounder, and again we have had better. Other than that, it was "OK".”

“Went from 4 stars 3. I've loved subway since I was a kid and pretty much got the same thing: a veggie sandwich on wheat. Simple but to me, delicious. However, a few months ago, they RAN OUT OF BREAD. How does a sandwich shop run out of bread?? That's what you're there for! But I thought that it's just an inconvenience and let it go because in all my years as a customer, it's never happened. That is until I went last week. They were out of bread yet again, except for tomato & herb. At least they had that I suppose but it's principle. I could see if I walked in 5 min before closing there'd be nothing, which would be my fault but I came in with a few hours left before closing. In my opinion, they should either have the supplies as advertised til whatever time and if that's not plausible, then they shouldn't be open all those hours or not til 9pm. Sorry for the lengthy post :( just frustrating when it's a place I go to quite a bit.”

“Food is always awesome, never been disappointed. The staff are always super friendly and helpful, always smiling. The energy/vibes/so on in the building is great. I've gone in, anxiety through the roof, and within a few minutes of being there I'm fine again. It's always clean, never a mess. It's one of my favorite places to go”
