Very well priced. I think the sections may be slightly too big for one server that’s used to banquet serving or maybe we were just in a weird spot. “Awesome spot! This area is a total food desert and finally there’s somewhere to get basic groceries and a tasty meal! The store is small but has a lot of the necessities and great snacks. I’ve had the pizza, sandwiches and salads and they are all delicious! Super creative pizzas, yummy sandwiches with great veggie options and most important, great mega salads. My personal favorite pizza is the breakfast pizza (egg on pizza, who would’ve known?). I’m big on the veggie avocado sandwich too. Had their pizza delivered last night, nothing like a great pizza dinner courtesy of Petals”

“A top three restaurant in New Haven. A waiter at Barcelona restaurant told me and a colleague it was his favorite, and since we are in town for work we thought why not. We were pleasantly surprised! The waiter was extremely knowledgeable and attentive, and helped me pick an awesome cocktail that recently came off the menu that was outstanding (Penicillin with candied ginger garnishment). The duck and brussel sprouts appetizer amazing, but the whole fish and the pork shank entrees knocked me off my feet with their robust flavor and texture. The shank had a crispy skin that paired very well with the cabbage and beans it sat in. The entire place was small and rustic with a hipster vibe.”

“This is a quaint little neighborhood bar and grill that offers a wide variety of choices. For 8 dollars you can get a New York sirloin strip with a baked potato or french fries a salad and a vegetable. For either 12 dollars or 14 dollars you can get a larger New York Strip. They make a grinder called "The Bomb" which is one of the house specialties. I highly recommend it.”

“El Tropical is truly local. Just off the highway. The Empanadas were very good and the service was excellent. One of the best waitresses ever. Kind, polite, attentive and responsive. The only reason I am not giving it 5 stars is because of the questionable parking situation and the lack of vegetarian options. Y sin frijoles? Still there's great traditional dishes like the deep fried plantains con queso. The interior is cozy with laid back and easy vibes. Relax here.”

“How does this place not have people out the door? Pepe's is EASILY 3rd place to Abate and Zeneli on Wooster street. This little place has amazing pizza and you get some genuine Italian charm from the staff there. They pretty much only do personal pizzas (10" maybe?) But there are other menu options as well. They come out very fast due to how thin the crust is but it is somehow crunchy and chewy at the same time. Beautiful toppings and olive oil go on these pizzas. It makes me feel like I'm back in Italy. I highly recommend you skip the line at Pepe's and try this place out if you never have before!”
