“I seriously love this place! The lemongrass tofu Hahn mi is awesome and I’ve yet to eat something here that disappoints. The staff is always very friendly. Especially the owner, he is so nice and always greets you like you are an old friend. I live 30 minutes away and still find myself driving over here after moving away from Newark just because I miss these sandwiches. Definitely would recommend ( and have recommended to many people)!”

I'd suggest using the "create your own" option for sushi burritos, because you can make some crazy tasty combos that way. If I could give it 6 stars, I would.”

“So good! It’s reasonably priced and delicious! The staff is very friendly and deliver the all you can eat food to the table! You order by tablet so no worries about being abandoned by waitstaff! The broth was delicious and all the vegetable and meat were great. I had zero complaints! Bathrooms were very clean as well. Soft drinks were included in the all you can eat so that was a plus! “Really liked the spicy broth. Servers very helpful, checked to see if you knew what to do, help if you don't. Asked if we wanted suggestions mixing the sauce. Used a bowl for broth at the end, is even more flavorful after cooking all the food in it, of course. Husband and son especially loved it, my husband always over orders. I really like the vegetables, tofu, and noodles, they love the meats and noodles, and veggies, too. It is fun to try, and allows for a lot of conversation. We have been here half a dozen times, have had this type of meal multiple times in NYC and Taiwan. Newark is lucky to have one, not common in smaller urban areas. Try it! Also note, restaurant and bathrooms were very clean, a good sign.”

“Awesome time my family had here. Staff was always around to help. Multiple times they came by asking if we would like something specific, whether it was a certain selection of meat or if we wanted it cooked a certain way, as in med rare, well done etc. Manager during our visit stopped by and talked sports, took a picture for us. Even going as far as suggesting a certain wall to stand by for a better background. It was overall a great experience.”

“If you're looking to hold a private event at a local restaurant Grain is the place to do it. I was floored by the excellent service that I was provided with from Kelsey the moment I reached out to them. Kelsey made it a point to keep in contact with me notifying me of any and all changes or limitations that needed to be worked out. Kelsey came prepared with suggested solutions that she and her staff discussed and made my planning process much less stressful. now when it came to the big day, Rourke and Amanda were hands down the best servers I have ever experienced, no exaggeration. They helped me set up and decorate and when I needed to step out to address some last minute things my family, who came to help finish setting up, realized that Rourke and Amanda took the initiative and completed the tasks. They both were personable and friendly, I heard over and over again that they were excellent from my family and ultimately found a way to make each of the 30 members of my party feel special, especially the children. Both Rourke and Amanda cleaned up the party debris promptly and without a complaint. they kept a smile on the entire time and made me feel as comfortable. I tip my hat to Kelsey, Rourke, Amanda and the rest of the staff behind the scenes who helped make this experience amazing. Thank you Grain for going above and beyond.”

“Amazing beer and amazing service! The owner Mike gave us a late Saturday night private tour that I requested the night before. He went out of his way to make the tour special for my Fiance's birthday. He even reserved a table for us and our friends! Tour fee plus tasting wasn't expensive at all and worth every penny. The bartenders Zack and Susanne were personable, upbeat and had great customer service! All in all, we were very impressed with this brewery and plan to make it one of our regular spots. Took home a growler full of Insomnia and some MOBC beer glasses. Support your local small businesses, especially when they are so active in charitable work! Love this place! Can't beat the service or the quality of beer.”
