“Fantastic location on the dock by the river. Personnel is friendly with good selection of drinks and light food. The atmosphere could be improved with more of a coastal, river front feeling. Replace the annoying TV with plants. Create green spaces between tables. Lower the volume of music, it can be annoying at times when you are trying to relax or have conversations. This place can be a jem in the waterfront district”

“I knew the place from their NYC branch. The DC one has been opened for a couple months now. The restaurant is big but seats are tight and packed together as most french restaurants. The vibe and atmosphere is nice, it has an antique/classic look and vibe to it. Our waiter and managers are super kind and nice! The service was great. It is really 5! The drinks are tasty with nice presentation. The desert part is like a heaven! Don’t forget they also have a secret milkshake that is not on the menu! It is delicious and thick! All that said the short rib dish wasn’t good at all! The steak sandwich and burger were delicious. Will go back there for sure hoping for better food/main dishes though.”

“This was delicious, we are not from this area and we are happy to say that we enjoyed our chicken, fries and plantains. The little sauces that come with it are super delicious and the hibiscus drink is also very good. Thank you for a delicious dinner!”

“I had the pleasure of visiting the Rooftop Bar for a Single Malt Lounge pop-up event hosted by Tracy Javier and overseen by Selina. Without a doubt, this experience deserves a glowing 5-star review. Selina's rooftop and ambiance were exceptional, and Tracy Javier's involvement added a special touch to the evening. The cocktails crafted were a testament to Tracys' creativity and innovation, making the event truly unforgettable. If you're looking for a unique and delightful time, this is the place to be!”

“The vibe, the staff, the decor and the food was excellent. We were a group of 8 and everyone was satisfied with the food. The wait times were insane and food did not come out in proper order but our waiter, Mache, was so attentive, entertaining and apologetic that we did not complain. A few items on the menu were not available which was an inconvenience and bad business but once again our waiter made up for it. Prices are beyond reasonable so we will definitely return but earlier because food stops being served early.”

“This place was surprisingly great!!! They recently were bought by a new owner and he has halal beef for the steak and cheese sandwich. Absolutely did not disappoint. The sweet potato fries and the seasoned fries were off the chain too. I’m sure the seafood is fire but I don’t eat sea food. I highly recommend checking them out. The half and half tea was fire too. Let him know @masterclipz sent you”

“First-Time Experience!! Everything about my experience was perfect. It's super eclectic! I love the healthy snacks, views, and people! Customer service was outstanding, too! I was so hungry, so I went with the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich. I replaced the onions with cucumbers. Let me just say: This sandwich is so yummy! I love the fresh baked goods, as well. The staff were generous and kind. I will definitely be going back.”

“Disbe Good should be called Disbe GREAT. Oh my gAWsh 🤤🫠. Lol. The eating that I have eaten here via delivery. Yum yum yum. Okay, so it started for me with the suya bowl. I tried this restaurant because of the pictures, inspite thinking "Hm, its not very saucy like a Chipotle or Roti, but I like suya so let me see." Oh, did I see. Did, I, see. It was DELICIOUS. The suya spice on the mea tnad on the side, the Disbe Good sauce. WoW. I don't know how they did it but it was done. Everything went together sooo well, the cucumber tomato salad, the cilantro rice. Fantastico 👏🏾 🤌🏾. So I ordered that a number of more times. You can really taste that they care about their food and make it with pride. And then. Next, I tried the chicken fried rice. And next, the chicken suya bowl despite thinking, "I don't think the chicken suya will be as good as the beef suya, but they did that...so let me see," And—I SAW. The chicken suya was (❗). Yes. That was a complete sentence. It was—somehow—competing with the beef suya, which I'm still not understanding because how?? Aaanyway...tonight I'm trying the Kabob Feast. 😎😀. They've earned themselves a "Favorite ❤️" status on my GrubHub homepage. I highly, highly recommend Disbe Good. Obviously! #🤤 #🇳🇬 Update after trying tonight's order—it did not disappoint 😋. And the Dirty Rice is the bomb!”

“I placed an order through Uber eats and received it on time packed tight and neatly. The shrimp fried rice was a 9/10 would recommend and order again no shells would’ve made it a 10 for me. I had 4 wing add on and they were.…ok off the grill I like and the disbe sauce was 10/10!!!. I ordered fries and some were burnt at the ends and I didn’t get my free ones with the Uber promotion. Overall good.”

“Ordered delivery for my first night in DC. They were open late and the chicken had good flavor. I wish I would’ve known what the different sauces were. The waffle was yummy.”

“My name is Rita Appiah , We had an incredible dining experience at Tempoo African restaurant and Lounge in Maryland! My husband and I travelled from North Carolina to Maryland for a visit . We wanted to try African restaurants near us . From the moment we stepped in Tempoo African restaurant we were warmly greeted and treated to exceptional service throughout our meal. I got myself a cocktail and some jollof rice and my husband got himself some waakye and got ourselves some Suya as well . The Jollof rice was perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection same as the waakye The staff were incredibly attentive and knowledgeable, offering great recommendations and ensuring our dining experience was top-notch. The portions were generous, and every dish was presented beautifully. Overall, Tempoo African restaurant and Lounge exceeded our expectations in every way. It's clear that they take pride in their food and service, and it certainly shows. We left feeling satisfied and already planning our next visit. If you're looking for a taste of Africa in Maryland, Tempoo African restaurant is the place to go. We can't wait to return! I HAD A CHANCE TO TALK TO THE CEO . A VERY FRIENDLY PERSON .”

“I ordered the whole chicken with the arroz chaufa & yucca with ALL the sauces for only $29.50. The chicken was so juicy & flavorful all the way down to the bone. The rice was perfectly cooked & delicious & the yucca dipped in the spicy red sauce was fire. 10/10 would recommend this Peruvian joint. It's definitely a cut above the rest in both taste & price. And if you don't feel like going out, no worries, they deliver through all the major delivery apps. 🤗”

“Called to get egusi for the first time at this place. The person behind the phone was very rude, did not let us know when to go pick up the order or give us the amount it would be. Just literally hung up on us. We ended up going and it's a dark kitchen for uber eats/doordash etc only. We had to call back and ask where to pick up our food. Turns out you need to place your order on an uber eats kiosk and pay there before you could pick up. If you thought you were going to save by calling the restaurant directly and picking up in person, you're wrong. The food was okay, the egusi tasted very smoky (not mad about it, just never had egusi taste like this before). The meat was a little dry, but otherwise it was good. I dont think I will be back.”

“Food taste was great. I thought portion sizes were generous and should be shared. I was visiting and like a variety so ordered more than one person could eat though. Arrived on time and temperature was good! Prices reasonable as well - particularly if you shared.”

“Ordered the beef shawarma via Door dash for pickup. 1. The food - the shawarma was pretty fantastic but a couple nitpicky things: - Shawarmas often have some fries in the sandwich and the description said it did. It did not. - The description did not indicate that it would have tomatoes and lettuce. It did. I think the sandwich was better for it but just an FYI. - The tahini sauce was great but there was a ton so, if it had been hanging out for a while before it got to me, it probably would have been a pretty soggy sandwich. I'd suggest that the owners put the tahini on the side to avoid this. - The steak was good but I was a little sad it wasn't grilled. - The description says the sandwich is wrapped in a tortilla which I thought was a little suspect. It turns out it was more like laffa or somesuch. Fairly thin, not overly leavened and a pretty good wrap. 2. The location - it's a ghost kitchen sort of thing in what is oddly called Ivy City Food Works since it's not really anywhere near Ivy City. Naming aside, it seems very organized and I kind of love it. There are a bunch of kitchens that operate out of the building. You place your order either on one of the apps or on a touch screen when you get there. If you've ordered beforehand, you check in on a touch screen when you arrive, it will tell you your foods ETA and, when your food is ready, it tells you on the overhead screen. The overhead screen also notes which of the numbered cubbies that are on the wall your food is located in. The area is maybe a bit sketch at night but there is a nice parking lot along side the building and I'm assuming they probably have it lit up very well. Note that, while there are a few tables outside, all the restaurants operating out of here are take out so there isn't really anywhere to sit and eat.”
