We are forever in his debt, because this was unquestionably the best meal either of us have ever had. The decor is beautiful, polished wood and antique in appearance. The ambiance was very pleasant and the staff couldn't be more attentive and helpful. We both chose the surf & turf with grilled asparagus & fingerling potatoes as sides. Delicious homemade warm bread with real butter started the meal. The filets & lobster tails were beyond wonderful. Perfectly seasoned & perfectly done. The sides were exceptional as well, again perfectly seasoned & cooked. Portions were so generous, we couldn't eat everything. Dessert was a chocolate... something. Heavenly! This isn't a cheap place to have dinner - but it's worth every penny!”

“After reading great reviews of V Pizza here in Jax, I decided to give them a try while I was in Gainesville recently. They're located right in the heart of downtown - great location. Parking can be hard to find, but there's a public garage close by. The interior is very industrial & modern. There is a large bar (Sidecar) located on one side with plenty of seating. Their cocktail menu looked very inviting! Our server was very attentive, our salads were delicious - the only thing wrong was the pizza. What should have been the star of the night - was not quite up to par. I love thin crust pizza, but this crust had no bite at all. It flopped over when I tried to pick it up. Toppings were sparse - I counted 6 mushroom pieces on the entire pizza. The cheese & sauce were good - so the pie wasn't a total loss.”

It's a nice change from the same old fast food,burgers and fries.Their prices are reasonable and you get to watch while they make your food, Some people don't like all of that lettuce and tomato to make it look like you're getting this huge sub. What I like about this location is they have the sweet pickled peppers, not just the banana peppers. Now for what I don't like--- They have very short hrs.,not open very late.They have closed the Taco Delmar at this location.miss the nachos and cheese.”

“We followed our nose and ended up eating here for lunch. What a treat it was. The owner Chris and the rest of the crew were extremely accommodating as well as inviting. This is a one off, family owned restaurant with a limited specialty menu. This is a good thing because quality, efficiency and prices suffer when there are too many items on a menu. Too many restaurants make this tragic mistake. Having an extensive culinary background myself, I believe they are doing an excellent job. We ordered the large jerk chicken plate and a beef patty. The price was very reasonable and it fed two of us well. Please note I was anxious and ate some of the chicken before I took the picture. The large comes w/two drumsticks and two thighs.”

“I'm only giving this place 3 stars for now, only because it was my 1st time eating here and I wasn't wowed. I ordered Oxtails and a beef patty for the side. The gentleman who took my order was having difficulty counting my money and even more difficulty figuring out my change. I didn't mind that at all because he was very pleasant. My real complaint is that my patty wasn't hot and that the oxtails had no salt. The oxtails were very flavorful, but I've definitely had better. I'll try them out again though. The location is conveniently next to the building I have my classes and I love Caribbean food! Who knows? They may wow me on my next visit...”

“It's exactly what you would expect! An adorable old house converted into a wine shop that has a great outdoor patio! The wine selection was great as well as the cheese selection. We came before dinner so we only got a small platter, but there were many options to choose from. We were here early so there was no one else here but I'm sure as the evening goes on, the patio will fill up. As we were leaving there was a jazz musician setting up to play live music! We will be back!”
