“Second time there. Met the owner Jason who made the best Cuban sandwich. Very personable guy. Their sandwiches are delicious and reasonably priced. The lemonade is fresh squeezed. Worth it! The first time I went to the Doghouse, they were out of Cuban sandwiches so I got the Reuben. It was a great sandwich. The place is on a great location to people watch while enjoying some good eats. The staff is really chill and like to converse. Definitely go there!”

“We came here while visiting Sanibel for my birthday and wanted a place to have drinks before watching the sunset. Upon walking in, there was a nice vibe and reggae music was playing. The dining area nice with views of the beach. Our server Austin greeted us immediately and told us about the happy hour specials. We ordered rum runners which were AMAZING. Unfortunately they didn’t have any vegan options so we had to order fries. Austin was even nice enough to ask the chefs if there was anything they could make vegan. Overall we loved the atmosphere and our server so we would revisit but it would be nice to have at least 1 vegan option on the menu especially in 2019. They would get a ton more business if they added that to the menu. My wife is a vegan food blogger so we write about ever place we visit. Hopefully by the next time we visit the Gulf Coast they will have something more substantial for us to eat. Other than that it’s an awesome place with amazing service. Definitely check it out.”

“Their selections are all worth trying. We visited here for the first time on our last visit to the area. We made sure we made it back here. This time we had the Stuffed Mushrooms for our appetizer. These were really good. Our entrees consisted of Stuffed Shrimp and Crab Cakes. Also very good. We closed it out with their Key Lime Pie, with Oreo cookie crust. This was amazing. The pie wasn't neither too tart, nor too sweet. Of the several places we ate Key Lime Pie, during this trip, hands down this was the best. The view of the harbor is a nice setting for a romantic dinner. The service was top notch, as well. Our server was very welcoming and attentive. She also made some great recommendations for dinner options, and high recommended the stuffed mushrooms. We'll be back on our next visit here.”

“Visited here while on vacation. Just a great spot for karaoke with a good mixed crowd, from college kids, to locals, to tourists. The bar food is decent and you get your money's worth portion-wise. “The food was excellent and the wait staff is excellent but there is not enough wait staff. Every visit it is obvious and even stated by the staff that they are short handed. Great view great menu selections so go ahead and back it up with some employees. I know it is expensive but if I am in a hurry I do not go there because of the wait time. Good ruebens and great seafood pasta that we have eaten on several trips. Get a waiter and a waitress and barback to help the flow”

They have lots of extras for touristy type souvenirs (super large drinks with glasses you can take home). “Stopped in tried the famous frozen Mango Rita’s. You definitely have to try, you won’t be disappointed. Also the crab cakes, well they are by far the best on the beach!! It’s states MD Crab Cakes!! They are!! Kudos to the chef !! It’s under new ownership, husband, wife and daughter, who waited on us yesterday. She was awesome, they were very busy, she ran around with a smile, but she was very attentive to all!!! The bartender was also great!!. I am a local this will definitely be myself & the family spot going forward!!”

You have to pay $2/hr for parking (as you do everywhere on Ft Myers Beach) and it can be a little tricky to find a spot close. “We stopped by for a late lunch a couple of weeks ago, and received outstanding customer service! The chicken salad wrap is awesome, the drinks are great but very little (if any) alcohol content. It's a bit pricey but you'll get a great view and tasty food. I would suggest no "adult beverages or mixed drinks" due to the price and no alcohol content although you are paying for it (unless it's in a can or a bottle)”
