“We have enjoyed breakfast here at the Yellowfin twice. Andrei and Jean were more than attentive and professional making sure that our visit was five stars. While we are still getting used to slowing down from our fast-paced experiences back at home, Andrei was there when we needed him....checking in at the right times and not when we had bites in our mouths. That speaks to someone who understands service. Tremendous time at the resort, and will be back again soon.”

“El Mocho is my favorite! It's my go-to. Pretty much my favorite now for decades. Cuban cooking cooked by Cubans. Real Cuban bread cooked on location. And I just had the flan last week, it was as good as it was when I was a kid–since 1983. This is where local's eat.”

“This restaurant is great! One of the nicer locations I've been to in all the Keys, we saw all sorts of fish, even an eel, right from the sea wall where we ate. Really nice outdoor seating, both shaded and unshaded. Drinks were all good, but the frozen spicy mango margarita was excellent, one of my favorite drinks I've had down here, sort of like a mangonada. Nashville (spicy) chicken sandwich was fantastic. The breading, sauce, and pickles were all on point. The mermaid salad with blackened shrimp was also delicious.”

“We've passed this place many times before but finally decided to stop! Best pizza we've had in years! Cozy little place with friendly service and great food. My wife and I split a New York Original pizza and loved it! Don't let the pictures fool you - the center is loaded with pepperoni, it's just covered with cheese! We are looking forward to returning for a turkey potpie! Thank you Katy for the great service!”

Fresh avocado steak cheese eggs hashbrowns all wrapped and grilled! Don't miss this place for the best breakfast!”

“Just got a Philly Cheesesteak taste was good but not much steak definitely not like any Philly Cheesesteak I’ve ever had. And we grew up in South Jersey had many Genos and Tony Lukes. Best ones in southern Florida is in Margate at Cheesesteak Factory”

“The restaurant is feet away from our room, so it is very convenient. The servers were amazing and very attentive. They brought us out a sample taste of potato scallion soup from the Chef and Oh My Goodness it was to die for.. soo good.....Hubby had the Tuna poke. The tuna was fresh, firm and flavorful, while some of the rice was a bit dry. The avocado was delish....I had the duck wings which was overcooked and dry, but it had some flavors when you used the dipping sauce. We also had the French onion soup small portion but was flavorful.”

“Great local feel to this place before you get into the touristy area of Key West. We enjoyed drinks, appetizer (Conch fritters) and dinner. My daughter got the catch of the day (blackened snapper) and it was delicious.I got their conch chowder and a salad. The chowder was red (I’m used to white chowder) and a bit spicy…just right. Not many people dining when we arrived, but that was fine by us!”

“I really want to just keep this great new place to myself, but that would not be fair! First, it was just done right from the outside to the inside and out onto the canal front deck! It’s beautiful, warm and inviting but with a Keys theme!! We were welcomed at the door and told to sit wherever we liked. Once we were seated The server then came directly to our table and took our drink order and told us the specials and asked if we had any questions. She was very friendly, welcoming and informative and most of all attentive. We are from Maryland and had heard the owners were to and were featuring a couple Maryland favorites like Cream of Crab soup. My husband got the soup and we all tasted it and it was amazing. We went for Sunday Brunch and everything was so good! I had the shrimp & grits, my husband had the hot honey chicken sandwich , our friends had the Cuban French toast and a Cuban Sandwich. Portions were just right and flavors were scrumptious! The French fries were really good too! The owners walk around and talk to the tables asking how everything was! Very friendly and informative about their restaurant and their plans! They also have a happy hour with a nice menu so we are looking forward to going back for happy hour and dinner!”

“Upon pulling into BROIL, I was greeted by a large, individually lettered sign outlined in red, set against a backdrop of low-lit, jungle-like foliage just off the patio seating. It was December, two days after Christmas, and the air was cool and breezy – perfect for dining outside at this quaint little island steakhouse. The hostess was the epitome of pleasantness, eagerly sharing her dining experiences and recommending dishes that she thought I would enjoy. I settled comfortably at my table, quickly attended to by a waitress and server assistant. As water was poured, the waitress introduced the team who would be taking care of me, all under the soft glow of moonlight and the upbeat melody of "What a Little Moonlight Can Do." For starters, I chose a classic shrimp cocktail featuring plump Key West pinks, chilled to perfection. Then, I moved on to a refreshing salad, uniquely presented with cucumber slices wrapping a spring mix, chilled tomatoes, tricolor peppers, and fresh pepper. The main course was an exquisite surf and turf: an 8oz filet paired with a South African cold water lobster tail, alongside lobster mashed potatoes with a delicate crisp and a perfectly balanced garlic beurre blanc sauce, rich with lobster meat.To accompany my meal, I selected the "Outer Bound" Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley – a sublime choice. Dessert was an unforgettable chocolate crème brûlée, recommended by the waitress. Its hot, crunchy top and creamy, chilled ganache were simply out of this world. The ambiance at BROIL was relaxed yet sophisticated, even for a steakhouse. The timing of the courses was spot-on, providing a leisurely dining experience. The service was attentive and prompt, adding to the overall enjoyment. The only slight letdown was the absence of a personal greeting from the manager, but this did not detract significantly from the wonderful evening. All in all, dining at BROIL was a delightful experience, one that I would gladly repeat.”

“Appetizers had a great flavor. Dinner was delicious! Large portions and filling. Desserts were tasty and worth coming back for more. Server was awesome! Friendly staff and attentive. Atmosphere was great and could talk with our friends at the table. Shirts available to purchase as well. Will definitely come back next time we are in the area. Also if you have allergies they are great with accommodations.”

“Tonight, we were greeted by Ian. A long-time bartender. He hasn't seen us since last season. He remembers our name and drinks. He is fantastic and always makes us feel right at home. Nice to see him again! We started our meal with Blue Point Oysters! Fantastic! Hubby had the Wahoo and Tater Tots. It was on Catch if the day special! He said it was delicious! I had a Philly cheese quesadilla. Really good! I also had Cauliflower Au Gratin, delicious! The Wine and Alcolhol selection is subpurb! Music was pleasant , good sound! I would like to give a shot out to Lynn Bell. "The new Bar chairs are perfect! Thank You!!”

“I absolutely LOVED this cafe. The Friendliest people on Earth who care about good quality ingredients. Coffee was spectacular. Coconut Pastry was VERY good. Chorizo Breakfast Tacos did not miss. I didn't wanna leave the picnic table. I was really enjoying myself. EXCELLENT place to start your morning or get a quick brunch.”

“Great place to get your morning coffee and breakfast before heading down to Key West. The coffee and sandwiches are fresh and made to order. The service was good. There are limited seats indoors, however, there's plenty of seats behind outside. There was also live music outside as well as lawn games. Just note that the road and parking lot is unpaved and can be a little muddy.”

“Fresh, authentic and expertly prepared food. The prices are reasonable, the portions are huge and the food has only the freshest high quality ingredients. All of the food is made from scratch. Don’t believe any other reviews, the food is extraordinary, the prices are competitive, and they don’t use Styrofoam. The Elote corn is as authentic as you can get. The Casuela bowl was delightful. The Quesabirrias are TD4 (to die 4). The menu is full of Mexican flair options and there’s always a specials list. The enchiladas are exceptional and the pico is fresh with mango. Prices are in the $15-$20 range but for that price you get shareable portions. A great value! The orders are all prepared to go in biodegradable containers. There is a small porch or some tables to eat if you want to dine at the location. Julie’s says that their food is “made with love.” This reviewer agrees! Highly recommend 10 stars”

“Pizza was good, and the staff were friendly, but they didn't really have it together, on the phone, or when we got there. Other than that, it's good food and a cute set up right on the water with lights.”
