“Dinner!!! So I reviewed brunch and have now been back for lunch several times but finally headed here for dinner. They have a descent selection of draft (4), bottled beer and wine. We ordered the beef carpaccio to start. This is one of my favorite dishes and I guess I love it even more now! Holy smokes the beef was tender, the sauce amazing and the dressed greens.. add the egg on the toasted points and there is a serious party happening in your mouth! We moved onto the entrees.. Scallops with Butternut Squash and the Baked Market fish. The fish was Cobia and it was pan seared and put on top of a daily risotto (mushroom) and had a sun dried tomato pesto on top. This fish was cooked nicely and the risotto was delicious. It was too much pesto on top.. a bit overpowering. There was also a strong fish finish.. not that it was bad just off putting. But the fish was enjoyed! Now the scallops.. thus might be one of my favorite dishes. Such a nice flavor profile with the butternut squash sweetness matched with the prosciutto saltiness and balanced with the puréed pistachio pesto and onion marmalade. Scallops were perfectly cooked and not a bit of grit.. great quality. True compliment to the chef that prepared it! Dessert! Brought a piece of the lemon berry cake home.. Also excellent, fresh and light! Only complaint was we were a little out off by the football game and other entertainment on the two big screen tvs they had overhead.. we would have preferred a more romantic feel.. lights were bright. The ambiance is not what we prefer but the food is great.”

“My husband and I were very excited to try Rustica on it's opening date of 11/1 and we went back tonight - we love it! We have tried quite a few items now, and the flavors of every dish are delightful. The scallop risotto was phenomenal, we loved the tempura green beans, and the scallop ravioli is the BEST ravioli I think I've ever had! My husband thinks it should have it's own entree version, because he could eat a whole entire plate of those for his meal! The salmon firecracker wraps were so good. I personally think that this menu is great for snacking and sharing. All of the dishes are smaller, but still great portions. All of the servers and staff are so helpful and kind, the owners are so sweet, and you can really tell they have poured a lot of heart and soul into this fine restaurant. It seems like the menu is still changing a bit and more items and being added and deleted, so we can wait to come back and try more items!”

“We were craving Chinese takeout tonight and I didn't feel like driving to our favorite restaurant, (Fire Wok), at Vilano Beach. I remembered reading that a new family from Chicago took over the China Wok in the Winn-Dixie North Plaza and decided to give them a try. I was honestly a little nervous as this place used to have, IMO, the worst Chinese food in all of St. Augustine. I have given them a few chances over the years and the food was always terrible. Our experience tonight was totally different. When I went in to pick up our order I noticed the restaurant was extremely clean and repainted with murals on the walls, (a huge difference from before as it always appeared dingy). The lady who gave me my my order was also extremely kind. We ordered Hot and Sour Soup,(extra spicy), Egg drop and Wonton Soup, Beef with Broccoli and Szechuan Beef, (extra spicy). What a huge difference from before! Every single thing we ate was delicious...they even made my dishes extra spicy as requested. The included egg rolls were obviously hand made, flavorful and not greasy at all. I'm happy we decided to give this place another try and would recommend it based on tonight's experience.”

“We first experienced the food as "to go" since we were staying at the hotel next door. We had the wood fired cauliflower crust pizza and salad. The following day we went there for brunch. I again had a different cauliflower crust pizza and my husband had waffles and sausage. The was equally as good and served streaming hot. This is a definite spot to check out when in Vilano Beach and save room for the Key Lime desert!”

“Good local pizza spot with lots of potential. Went there for lunch on Friday of their soft opening. Staff was very nice and friendly. It wasn’t very busy because it was during the workday/school day. But that was the calm before the storm. We had some mozzarella sticks to start, which were at the perfect temperature and the marinara dipping sauce was very tasty. I had the meatball parm sub. The meatballs were great, very well seasoned, tasty and not dry at all, and the cheese was nicely melted. The sub itself was difficult to eat without it falling apart, so I just cut it into three parts then ate it. It was delicious. We also ordered a 12” pepperoni and black olive pizza. The pizza had great flavor, but it definitely could used a few more minutes in the oven. It was a bit doughy. I’m hoping they’ll figure that out, because it seems to be a common trend from others. I’ll definitely be back, and hope my next pizza is better.”

“I love Poppy’s and this spot continues that legacy. Service is not taken for granted and the waiters know the menu backwards and forwards. It really makes the meal more enjoyable because you can tell the servers enjoy what they do. The food - is always killer because their sauce, the basis for most of their dishes is amazing. I have tried to copy it, learn the trick, but never ever come close. All your favorite Italian dishes are here, so order something different every time. My one complaint, the tables are close together, like NYC close. So understand that going in and you will be fine.”

It wasn’t bad but I’ve had better. I ordered the tempura lobster roll and the spider roll. I have never had lettuce in a roll before so tried it. They were ok but I think if I were to go back I would try something different. Waitress was nice. Food was out quickly. Bathrooms were clean.”

“The Dolly Llama Waffle Master is a new shop that sells ice cream, bubble waffles, liege waffles, shakes and coffee. They have a nice selection of ice cream flavors, like Cookie Monster, Ube, and Banana Pudding. On this trip, we tried the liege waffle with a scoop of banana pudding ice cream, sliced bananas, peanut butter sauce and cookie crumbles. We both really enjoyed this. The waffle has a great texture and the ice cream is really good. We will definitely be back to try a few other things. Definitely worth stopping by.”

“Being born and raised in the Northeast, one thing I know is good pizza and let me tell you- this pizza is the real deal. St. John’s hit the jackpot with Miei Amici. The plain pie is a nice thin crust with no flop and a nice sweet sauce and that nice stringy cheese. “A lovely restaurant for great and easy Mexican food. Their taco Tuesday deal is always great! Very nice lunch deal as well too. Love the hot surfer chick and the pork pineapple al pastor tacos are my personal favorites from here. The place is always clean, bright, and has a very fun atmosphere. The place is very, very busy during dinner hours between 6 and 8, so expect a wait, but the food is very fast to serve. Servers have always been nice too and attentive.”
