“10/10- update: Had a late delicious lunch today at Merci Bimini ! Great atmosphere for my only day off in a week.. transported to a little cafe in Paris.. I ordered the crustless Quiche Champignon - marinated mushrooms,egg, Gruyere and parmesan cheese. It was amazing! Creamy, buttery and cheesy! I also treated myself to a glass of Sauvignon Blanc also light and delicious! I took home eclairs and the almond pastry. They were busy, which was wonderful to see! As a New Yorker I appreciate and miss a good French Pastry Cafe! Of course I had to try as many freshly made pastries! They were all absolutely delicious! Things that dreams are made of…. The first one is a mini custard eclair! A light buttery eclair covered in a dark chocolate ganache with a vanilla custard filling. So yummy! Delicious! The second is a Mocha mini cream puff.. also delicious the mocha cream filling is so light and delicate! Maybe the best mocha I’ve ever had! The third was a mini cream puff filled with hazelnut cream! Ooh lala!!! Fabulous! The hazelnut cream is light and fluffy.. with the chocolate ganache topping. Also not too sweet. Delicious beyond words! My favorite is the Almond Pasticiotti!!! Wow! Buttery flaky crust with an almond marzipan custard filling topped with shaved almonds.. the filling is not too sweet but creamy and filled with flavor.. this is a delicacy that is hard to find especially in South Florida. I can’t wait to work my way through all they have to offer. They will also offer wine, beer and champagne! They are right next to Bimini Twist Restaurant on Okeechobee Blvd and Sandsbury.. in the little strip mall! “I ordered the grilled Florida salad with shrimp. Not only was it beautiful but it was fresh and delicious. My partner had grilled snapper with the gouda grits and plantains. “I went there this weekend for the first time. Took my Czech friend for his birthday and it was amazing. The food was incredible (we had the chicken schnitzel), and the service was great. The avocado toast with salmon pairs perfectly with the grapefruit spritzer. Light eaters, go with the half order of avocado toast— it’s plenty! My aunt claims they have the best cupcakes, and muffins, but they were nearly sold out when we got there at noon. “This is the best spot to get a great breakfast and donuts for a really good price. We started coming here a few weeks ago, and this is pretty much the only place we come to for a quick and delicious breakfast. The food is made fresh, and the prices on everything is super reasonable. My boyfriend, myself, and his brother can eat for about $20 or less depending on how hungry we are that day! The customer service is amazing they are always super friendly, and nice. I highly recommend making this your breakfast stop, and they do also have some lunch items like chicken strips, chicken wraps etc! Amazing place :D”
