“Wonderful experience in our home provided by Chef Felix. An expertly prepared meal for 8, including two delicious appetizers, fresh salad with choices of scratch made dressings, 14 oz. Ribeyes for each, garnished with an incredible mushroom sauce. Sides included garlic mashed potatoes and roasted vegetable medley. Totally stuffed and so very satisfied, how could we possibly consider desert? Well…. We did. It was a selection of “desert shots” , light and delicious, of which we all enjoyed to the very end. Noreen and I were happy to host this experience in our home and are already discussing the next one. Thank you Chef Felix!”

“Small cafe with a service window being the restaurant. Seating is outside. The menu is limited but has some seafood type options. We had the blackened shrimp wrap with fried plantains. “I’m just an average white fella who’d never had Cuban coffee before so I wanted the authentic experience. I am a normal coffee drinker so I’m not coffee ignorant. The Cuban coffee was phenomenal, it’s a light on the darker side when comparing to American but the Cuban has sugar and steamed milk added, it is delicious. There are 2 of these locations but this one has the postcard mural painting on the side wall and the other doesn’t.”

“Pretty tasty donuts. I was searching around for a new donut spot to put into my life and stumbled upon this one, driving down Beach Blvd to Kernan. These donuts were soft, fluffy, and fresh. There are a variety of options to choose from, but I opted for a lemon, Bavarian cream, and an apple filled donut along with a glaze and cinnamon sugar donut. Decent price, and they have a drive thru. I recommend going inside, though, so you can see how great the donuts look, and you can see all the varieties they have.”

“Good golly this place was fantastic! Not only was all the food tasty, but the place itself was so quaint! We were a party of four and all of us ordered savory dishes that were super tasty and FRESH. I had an omelette with avocado, salmon, brie, spinach and fresh herbs (la mer) Wow! My friend raved about the Benedict galette! The food was hot and fresh and even with a busy morning crowd, the food came out in a timely manner. They had a great choice of mimosas, beer and wine too. Entrees were about $15-25, which is totally on-par with any other restaurant in old town. Our waiter was attentive and friendly…We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Don’t miss this gem!”

But recently was gifted the Top Seller Trio as a birthday gift and I think I have found my new favorite brand. Hill's Southern Food makes quality beef jerky at an affordable price and has many delicious flavors for everyone. The teriyaki flavor is my favorite from the trio I received but the peppered and sweet & spicy were extremely good as well. Thank you David for hand delivering the jerky! “First, I grew up on Ledos Pizza in Langley Park Maryland at the original before it franchised so I know what the food should taste like. That being said, no franchise tastes like the original so keep that in mind. I ordered the thick cut pepperoni pizza, this is a specialty of Ledos. The pizza was hot and the toppings were plentiful (the standard is one pepperoni per square). The crust is signature Ledos. The taste however is bland, certainly not the Ledos flavor one would expect if they are familiar with Ledos. I have eaten at many franchise Ledos and they all have their taste differences. This one lacks the taste needed to be called great. No idea if it is because it is fairly new or some other reason. They need to figure it out. Ledos Pizza is one of the best out there but I can't say that about the one I got. There's something missing and I hope they figure it out because the next closest Ledos is over 100 miles away.”

“Met the owner Billy today while out with my cousin Captain Dane doing some coastal cleanup, what an awesome dude, out there doing his part and then going to work in the afternoon to feed the people. “We've been ordering delivery from Big John's almost every week for years. Lately there have been many orders that were delivered and something was always writing. Like ordering two mozzarella/prosciutto sandwiches and getting both of them without mozzarella, then waiting another hour for them to deliver us new ones with mozzarella. Or choosing blue cheese dressing for our salad but having balsamic delivery instead. Or not getting the salad at all even though it's on the order. We still love Big John's but something is definitely going on lately.”
