“DO NOT judge this restaurant by the exterior (or do..... we can keep it for us locals). Wow! Just WOW! Relic Smokehouse is fall off your stool unbelievably great food. My husband ordered the brisket, i ordered ribs and brisket and (creatures of habit we are) we both ordered the mac & cheese and beans for sides. The food was out of this world outstanding. It comes with 3 different sauces: regular bbq (good), hot bbq (amazing!!) And hot mustard (outstanding). Loved that the meat came "dry" so you could add your sauce of choice - problem is we loved them all. The meat was literally melt in your mouth tender, and the flavor was outstanding. The mac & cheese should be its own food group - its THAT good. It's houses in a historic building with an unassuming front. It is our new favorite regular spot.”

“Okay, so the only reason I gave this place 3 stars for food is, being a native Southern Californian, I'm used to Mexican food with a *serious* amount of flavor. And this place does a decent job in that respect. Better than 90% of the Mexican places in the inland PNW where people seem to be afraid of chili's or other spicy ingredients. So I would really call this type of food "Latin American INSPIRED" food. But their meats are acceptable as a substitute for something simmered for a couple days by someone's abuelo who grew up in Guadalajara or Cuidad Juarez. More of a "we waved some chili's at the food to inspire it" kinda "Mexican food" that the...sensitive pallets of North Idaho can handle. Their salsa is pretty good, though, I will give them that, even if it is missing that "holy Mother Mary, that's going to be uncomfortable coming out" heat I miss so much. Service is reliably good, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. I will say it's always cold inside the very small dining room. Like "don't forget your jacket or sweatshirt" cold. Maybe it's my missing thyroid and that I'm sensitive to temperature changes now, but I'm always very chilly inside. I'd recommend them for their Buritto Supremo, my family all like their tacos, and we haven't had any complaints for the quality of the meals we get. If you live up here, and need a decent, affordable, and enjoyable hit of Mexican food, hit this place up, definitely! Parking can be a little tricky, and the one way roads make approach kinda troublesome, but if you coke in from the resort area of CdA, you'll be fine.”

“I went there yesterday and had my partner and newborn in the car while I ordered, the middle aged woman at the counter was so friendly and kind taking my order. I told her I’d sit in my car while it was being cooked, when it was ready she walked it right to our car because we were too busy with the fussy baby! I can’t tell you how sweet that gesture was when we were already having a busy hectic day and trying to get a nice quick meal. I will absolutely be coming back here for any pizza! “My wife and I were pleasantly surprised with our experience eating dinner here. The prices were affordable, dinner was delicious, and our server was attentive and friendly. I will say that, as a large man with an appetite, the Barbarian was plenty for me. After all, you can fill your up to four inches beyond the rim of your bowl! I would not have needed or enjoyed eating more. I like the food posters on the wall, so I took pictures. This is a good place to eat if you'd like to reduce carbs because you have the option to fill your bowl accordingly. This is a great place to eat.”

“I'll be honest, I normally do not patronize Starbucks because I object to the leftist political stances of the corporation, however recently I purchased a couple lattes from this particular store which was conveniently located right around the corner from another business I was visiting. I was pleasantly surprised at the unusually cheerful and engaging manner of the attendants. They all seemed to be thoroughly enjoying themselves and went out of their way to greet and engage me with conversation, which I appreciate. The whole culture of this Starbucks is unlike any I have ever visited, so I give credit where credit is due. So I recommend that you check out this particular Starbucks, because you will be treated as valued and appreciated customer. You will no doubt leave with a smile on your face.”

“Well, I visited this place because it was the only restaurant that was open in the morning and close to the Tesla supercharger in Coeur d’Alene. And my experience was very good. “I can’t believe it took me this long to go here! I got the January bowl, asked for no chicken so they gave me extra black beans which I appreciate so much! The portion is very generous, sure to fill you up without leaving you wanting. Thank you for having healthy, simple food available in such a convenient way. “The place was fairly busy for a Tuesday, so my anticipation was high for a good experience. The waitstaff seemed to be a bit unorganized and not very warm. The waitress came to take our order but since we had not ordered here previously, we asked for another minute. We tried to flag the waitress down a couple of times to no avail, it took about 15+mins to finally place the order. The food was ok. I ordered eggs over medium, they were not. The pork sausage was very garlicky (didn’t like) but that’s a personal preference as my friend enjoyed them. The pancake was filling and delicious. I would suggest investing a little money in new menus that aren’t stained and crinkled. Also, perhaps ask your waitstaff to smile and at least pretend to like working there.”

The portion sizes are gracious. 1/2 lb crab and 1/2 shrimp was more than enough for 2 people. Also ordered eggdrop soup which was delicious! Everything was cooked perfectly, I will say I ordered a medium spice level and tasted no heat/spice other than garlic butter. I was originally going to order garlic old bay flavor but was advised spices are heavy handed. I’d recommend getting a higher spice level if you like spice! Also would like to see more drink options, but for just opening there is a reasonably diverse selection. Great place for a family dinner, lots of fun under the sea decorations !! “Our first time for dinner, we had heard about Saturday night prime rib dinner. There aren't enough words to describe the meal. First it's advertised as 16oz cut of prime rib.... I would guess it's more like 20oz, it is accompanied by 3 cheese & garlic mashed potatoes, steamed veggies , grilled bread and usual horseradish & au jus . The meat is seasoned perfectly and so tender if you look at it it falls apart. No kidding !! Make sure you go hungry. We have been there for lunch too, great sandwiches and burgers. “If you are looking for great wood fired pizza, this is your spot! The interior is very thoughtfully put together. We had a Cesar salad and it was one of the best I’ve had. I know that sounds weird because it’s just a salad but my partner and I were impressed. We shared a Charlo pizza and the flavor was incredible. The crust was fluffy and expertly made. I spent over ten years working in different pizza establishments around the area. Point being, they have one of the best in the area hands down!”
